Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR-Blaster support on LMS 8.0
Got it working with a 'hack'. I 'intercepted' the downloaded irblaster.zip file in the /SqueezeCenter/Cache/DownloadedPlugins/ directory. Modified the install.xml within the zip and added it back into the DownloadedPlugins directory. Then when I enabled the plugin it copied it into the InstalledPlugins directory and it accepted version 8 of LMS. What's the neater way of updating a downloaded plugin? kidhazy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42259 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112152 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi On Mac the 'Show current track info' has 3 columns - Artist Bio, Album Review, Lyrics, this looks good when all 3 are populated but sometimes it can't find Lyrics or Album Review leaving the Artist Bio and a large space to the right. Could there be some way Maximise/Minimise each column as required or be able to drag the divider/slider to fill the screen? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR-Blaster support on LMS 8.0
mmm ... I can't get my changes to Install.xml to stick. Maybe I'm updating them in the wrong folder. When I try to install IRBlaster the only folder I can see it (I'm running on a Synology NAS) is: /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins But if I update install.xml and restart, the folder gets recreated with the old files. >From the settings page, the plugin folders are: Plugin Folders /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins, /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Plugins But the 2nd folder doesn't appear on the NAS, so I'm not sure if I should be updating install.xml somewhere else. kidhazy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42259 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112152 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
Upon request of @PaulWebster and @staresy, I now have a beta that supports *multiple LMS instances* (unlimited). There are two prerequisites: 1. You _must__use the same --auth- usernames/passwords for -all -the https proxies. 2. Player names must be unique across the entire superset of players, so e.g. if one server/location has a player called Livingroom, the other(s) cannot have a player with that name too. During account linking, you simply separate the fully-qualified server urls by commas with an optional space. so e.g. https://29f955b.ngrok.io, https://345fede.ngrok.io. That's an example only and you do not have to use ngrok. The servers can run different versions of LMS and can be at the same location or geographically diverse. All you need is a separate proxy url for each one. As before, the beta uses a different skill name (-Squeeze -instead of LMS-Lite) and discovers your players as "Squeeze XXX" so as not to touch your existing setup. If testing goes well then I will simply merge this into the existing skill as there would be no differences for people with only one server in use. PM me with your Amazon account email if you'd like to try the beta. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

In a managed environment, where the regular user is not an admin of the workstation, the Store App is usually blocked or unable to install apps. So if you want to run on a workstation where the logged on user does not have the privilige to do privilige escalation (by default or with the infamous dialog box asking the user whether the application is allowed to modify system or not), you need a portable version that just requires files to be unzipped and an executable run. Of course the IT people can still block any unauthorized .EXE, or configure the antivirus/malware protection to stop suspicious .EXEs, but is quite rare and done only on very critical system (industrial plant control systems, medical workstations, military control systems, financial workstations connected to online marketplaces and so on). Hope I clarified my request a bit. Thanx for your attention Greg! I wasn't aware about that, since I don't run SLX all that often on the Surface Go and all my other devices do not do Connected Sleep. I went back and looked at what I might have changed and I found it. I reverted a line of code, ran it through the store to myself on my Surface Go this morning and I'm not seeing the problem anymore. Even that is not always 100% successful. Does it happen if the queue has only local tracks only? Or only if you have some from an online service? If you use another UI, e.g. default web UI, do all the tracks have valid durations? When using Material, any errors logged in the console tab of your browser's developer tools?? *Material debug:* 1. [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR-Blaster support on LMS 8.0
I just realised IR-Blaster v6.2.1 is showing as unsupported on my LMS version (v8.0.0) I can't event find where I got the latest v6.2.1 of IR-Blaster, so I'm not sure if it's still being updated, or if the issue is just a version pre-req issue. Anyone still using IR-Blaster on LMS 8 ? Thanks. kidhazy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42259 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112152 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Craig No, not large play lists. The issue occurs with playlists of any length or duration. The only thing that seems to correct it is to close and reopen Material. Even that is not always 100% successful. I've never seen this happen. Are you using large playlists, with more than 500 tracks? If Material has the details for all tracks, it gets the duration by summing up all track durations. If there are more tracks that Material currently has (as it only loads 500 to start, until you scroll), then it asks LMS for the duration. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi Craig On a fairly regular basis instead of showing the total duration of the playlist, Material shows the duration of the first track in the playlist. Closing Material and opening again seems to cure the issue. Would it be feasible to include a Refresh button or a menu option rather than having to restart Material?
