Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages
You should try it again, but make sure you define a folder where to store the pictures. That should make it almost as fast as browsing albums with artwork. Are there any preferences concerning the size of the pics? I usually don't go beyond 2000x2000. But that should mostly matter for the scan time. If set up correctly the plugin would pre-cache those images in resized form to speed up the browsing. Eg. you'd have all artist pictures in 150x150 for the web UI etc. already rendered. At this point the size of the original image would not matter. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Nominations for Recommended 3rd Party Plugins
The Wiki page which lists available repositories seems badly out of date, with about half of the XML repository links 404'ing as of today (5/31/2020). What page would that be? As an aside, this was at the end of a long trail of trying to find my all time favorite plugin: "Remove Played Songs" for LMS 7.x which had disappeared in a 404, I think almost all working plugins as of today can be found in the default repository, activated with LMS. The raw list of included repositories can be found here: http://svn.slimdevices.com/repos/slim/vendor/plugins/include.xml -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX
Further experimentation with the previous build yielded some REALLY unexpected results. Running "squeezelite-win.exe -o 21 -s kraken -a 50:1 -a 24 -u v" produces audio that matches the Windows driver settings. If Windows is set to 24/96kHz, squeezelite will play all audio upsampled to 24/96kHz. If Windows is set to 16/48kHz, squeezelite will only play audio at 16/48kHz and ignore the "-a 24" flag." If I set Windows to 24/48kHz, squeezelite will play everything at 24/48kHz, but when I omit "-a 24" squeezelite outputs 16bit audio even for 24/96kHz files. However, it upsamples everything to the highest supported sample rate, 192kHz. If I omit both upsampling and format flags (".\squeezelite-win.exe -o 21 -s kraken -a 50:1"), squeezelite correctly ignores the Windows setting and matches the file's sample rate, but truncates everything to 16 bits. In this case Windows is set to 24/48kHz, but squeezelite ignores the bit depth setting as well. Running ".\squeezelite-win.exe -o 21 -s kraken -a 50:1 -a 24" without the upsampling flag just produces "_pa_open:395 error opening device 21 - JRiver Media Center 25 (JRiver Media Center 25) [Windows WASAPI] : Invalid device" again. I think the best option right now is to set Windows to the highest file sample-rate and just use Sox to upsample everything else with "squeezelite-win.exe -o 21 -s kraken -a 50:1 -a 24 -u v." I can make logs for any of these scenarios if you want. The plugin ZIP file is hosted on sourceforge. The exact same repository XML file is hosted on both github and sourceforge and they both point to same ZIP file on sourceforge. All the repository XML files are download whenever user opens WebUI Settings/Plugins tab. If you use the sourceforge repository URL then you may have had download problem of the XML file when Plugins tab is opened which in turn would lead to a plugin install problem. AndroidTV does include WebView which allows Material apk to launch via remote where I can navigate to "now playing" after numerous right arrow remote button presses. Changing song position with this is overkill on TV interface, and adds additional button presses to get to back/play/skip buttons. Okay, this is what I see in Activity Monitor or top when this is happening: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49955055248_49815da9dc.jpg Mostly this is while LMS should be peacefully asleep. The Chromecast audio devices most of the times ar not active or being used to play music played directly from Spotify from a phone. I have enabled logging, this is what was logged before I terminated the process that was taking up 200% CPU: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49955607666_7351d15ec2_b.jpg Is there maybe here a setting that might give a clue of the cause and/or a solution? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49955122573_4ddefa2924_b.jpg Or maybe it has to do with the OS, Catalina, which is very strict in some ways to make it more secure, might it be a problem with permissions..? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
First of all this plugin is fantastic :)) I own an ancient Logitech radio, had LMS running on an old Mac and I recently migrated that to a new Mac Mini with Catalina. And two speakers connected to Chromecast-audio, both magically transformed to Squeezbox-radios thanks to squeeze2cast. However... since migrating to the Mac Mini (and Catalina) I noticed the plugin using more and more CPU. All goes well after (re)starting LMS and/or the plugin. But after several hours I hear the Mac Mini making noise (the fans) and I see the CPU usage spiking to 200 procent. I will give some more information in my next post, because it seems you can't post links or images in you first post on this forum  pauwhof's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70271 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yeah, I use a 5-year old i7 laptop (with SSD) - and I'm seeing this 1 min/file. *Very* slow. MusicIP also seems to ignore .m4a files - is this correct? If so, MusicIP is pretty useless for me... *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The alternative URL http://bpa-code.github.io/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml is working for me without any issue and no other users have commented. Since you did not say which URL you have previously been using, not the version of the plugin, it is hard to give a specific answer. It is possible there was a temporary network issue but github is widely used and no issues logged. If you updated LMS recently, then you may have been using an old test repo URL which are time limited and only now discovered they have been deleted - however the last such URL I deleted was many months ago. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Chromecast, UPnP and AirPlay bridges updates
I've recently done updates on these plugins about codec supports, especially as part of my effort to bring streaming wav (aif maybe) support to LMS. I've pushed the updates on the stable version as the amount of permutations and combinations required for test is simply *way* above my capabilities so I need this community's help and understanding. I won't be able to answer questions from users who have problems with these bridges which are related to installation or networking (firewall, docker, VM, multicast filtering, IGMP snooping ...). Please read the threads and rely on community's responses. Sending me a PM will not help nor will opening an issue on GitHub. To get the full list of new codecs, you must erase the "codecs" line content in these plugin settings, wait a bit and refresh the page. The list will be updated with the most recent defaults.
