Any thoughts? The imbedded player, squeezelite, will prevent sleep if it is playing anything or if it has an output device open. Squeezelite-X will generally includes a squeezelite command line parameter "-C 60" that tells squeezelite to close its output device if idle for 60 seconds. Without that squeezelite's default is to keep its output device open as long as the player is "on". You can check your squeezelite player parameters and see if -C 60 is there. If not, add it. Other than that I don't know of anything that will make SQL keep your computer from sleeping. I've never bothered adding WMA support natively in the bridges b/c for me it's such a corner case. In UPnP, you can add wma as part of codecs if your player supports it in direct (transcode=none) mode. But for AirPlay or in transcode mode for Cast & UPnP bridges, I don't support WMA decoding, so LMS would have to do the job. Is it a known issue with the package installed (not-the windows store aspx, but exe) version of Squeezelite-x that would prevent the machine from entering sleep mode, or have I managed to dive into yet another un-reproducable glitch? Squeezelite running- no sleepy - shut it down - computer sleeps normally. The "prevent sleep if player is turned on" in the LMS prevent standby plugin is un-ticked and the timer for the same is reduced to 3 minutes, so that plugin is not the culprit (al least when Squeezelight is not running). Maybe Michael can shed some additional light from an LMS point of view here, as it seems I'm not the only one to experience this. My new Best Friend !!:):) Just a couple of things Typo, should be Code: /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf and the line is the very last one :p Thanks a bunch, also holds up after a LMS restart. ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Paul Webster wrote: > Were you able to work out why the fetch of the Master worked without the > configuration change? Not a complete explanation and I don't know the workings of TLS and DH keys. I think it is about the following. LMS does the initial fetch of the top level URL and sees it is a "m3u8" so passes onto the PlayHLS playlist handler for processing. Subsequent https fetches are done by PlayHLS independent of LMS https handling. When I wrote PlayHLS plugin I had to use its own copy of AnyEvent::TLS and AnyEvent::HTTP (for HTTP 1.1) as the LMS TLS copy was out of date and no HTTP 1.1 support - this also enable PlayHLS to be installed in pre 7.9.2 LMS installations. LMS AnyEvent::TLS seems to be still out of date so I don't understand how initial fetch works. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
I think I have found the problem. Buster have used a non standard SSL setting - basically taking a stronger line SSL security. This would affect any users of OpenSSL on the Buster system. Workaround for PlayHLS 2.4 - in the file /etc/ssl/openss.cnf Code: CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=2 Change to Code: CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=1 RAdio France played OK after LMS was restarted after file was edited (i.e. no need for system restart) - not sure if LMS actually needs to be restarted. Longer term - I'll do an update to PlayHLS to support longer DH keys. I hope this is a just a small change. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
