I also experience problems with updating the "reliable" plugin to
0.18.1. I get the same error message as dolodobendan:

As far as I can see the problem is that
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/lms-plugins-philippe44/Reliable-0.18.1.zip
does not exist. The download URL should be (e.g. https instead of
http):

Yes something strange going on, my system was continually asking for a
restart to update the plugin, uninstalling it stopped that, but now it
won't reinstall.

That's it. Thank you very much. For those who encounter a similar issue,
one must go into Firewall settings and make sure there's an exception
for squeeze2cast.exe. My particular problem is that although "Private"
was already allowed, "Public" was not.

Yes, that's correct. I thought it was odd, and am not entirely sure why
squeeze2cast could see my various chromecasts before the 'public"
firewall allowance. Of course, not complaining, as it works just fine
now.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Is the TrackStat plugin still working with LMS 8.x?

2020-11-26 Thread carsten_h

Hello!

I am searching for something that gives me a rating mechanism inside
LMS. I have ratings in my mp3 files but the filesystem is mounted
readonly in LMS (piCorePlayer installation with a HFS+ SSD).

So I found TrackStat which seems to be exactly what I want because it
saves the ratings when a full database scan is done and restores it
afterwards.
But I am lost when it comes to installing it. It should be found in LMS
plugins when you add Erlands repository, but there is no TrackStat.
So my question is: Does it still work with LMS 8.x?
Is someone using it?

Thank you!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2020-11-26 Thread FatPete

I've been using Philippe's uPnp and AirPlay bridges for a while now with
various Sonos speakers and other devices.

I'm sure he's answered this question before, but I can't find anything
via search: when using a Sonos device that also supports AirPlay, is
there any specific advantage to using the AirPlay bridge over the uPnP
bridge (or vice versa)? I'm using LMS specifically as a workaround to
Sonos' 65K track limit and to downsample any hi-res down to
Sonos-compatible flac files. My music library is 99% lossless flac
files, so I'm unsure if there's any reason to use one bridge over the
other?

Thanks!

There was a conversation a few days ago about a network error which
occurs when you try to delete a Favourite. I'm getting this error when I

Actually, I've found the right setting :). The category API allows you
to return a single playable item per matching show/container. Making it
much more manageable. I'll include the change in the next release.

I've had a quick look at this. It essentially is working the same as
the BBC website and Sounds App. So the plugin is showing the same number
to browse through. The difference is the plugin is sorting by "Release
date", whereas the website/app defaults to sorting by "popular" so that
you don't get bunching of episodes all released together. I'll switch
to sorting by "popular" in the next release, then look to adding more
options for changing the sort order that you can browse through as a
longer term solution.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2020-11-26 Thread Ge Ba

Hello! :)

is the new LMS integration of Tidal in 8.0.0 not supported in iPeng? I
can see "Browse on Tidal" from an Album Artist listing on other
controllers, like Squeeze Ctrl. But not on iPeng, unfortunately.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] EXPERIMENTAL: "reliable" plugin for HTTP(S) streaming

2020-11-26 Thread slimhase

LMS offered me to update the (awesome) plugin from 0.18.0 to 0.18.1.
But when I did, it never seemed to have accepted it. (It still stated
'update available')
Then I uninstalled the plugin and wanted to reinstall - but that did not
work either.
Then I tried a manual install from github, and now LMS states under the
reliable plugin: 'Plugin could not be loaded.

Anybody else seeing this?
Any ideas to get teh plugin installed (again)?
