Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] DSTM not working on 1 of 6 Squeezeboxen
The weird thing is that it doesn't add tracks to the playlist for one -- and only one -- of my six SBs. I've rechecked the DSTM settings, tried turning DSTM off and back on again on that player, but no luck. The player in question is an SB2, while it works fine on a mix of other players (SB2, SB3, SB Receiver, SB Radio and Squeezelite-X app on my Win10 machine). Fwiw, the server is running LMS 8.1.1 via piCore on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. Are they all using the same mixer setting? You could enable logging five tracks before the end of a list for that one player, then send me the server.log.zip. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Soundcloud plugin for squeezeserver
Version 0.12 is now released. It should soon appear in the official plugin repository list, and everyone should be offered the update (regardless if you have a 3rd party repository installed or not). Version 0.12 implements the new authentication mechanism that is required by SoundCloud. One consequence of this is that *anonymous use is no longer possible. You must have a SoundCloud account*, and you enter your API key on the plugin's settings page. If you are not logged in, every menu entry will disable a message that you must login. If your API key is no longer valid, you will see "Unauthorized", and you must also get a new API key. To get your API key go to the plugin's settings page. Click on the button 'Connect with SoundCloud'. A new popup window opens. If you're not already logged in, log in with your SoundCloud username and password. Then authorise the SqueezeCloud app to access your SoundCloud account. The popup window now displays your API key. Copy this key and paste it in the field on the settings page. Don't forget to press 'Apply' to save the API key. There are places in LMS where the "Parser" parameter is not saved when Favorite is saved and IIRC image parameter are not always saved when used from the interface on IP3K players. Inconsistencies will happen and in this case easiest to change plugin rather than LMS as it is likely many other plugins expect the current LMS behaviour. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111951 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Easier to recognise across URL-string variations. I notice a lot of inconsistencies in the data-structure returned via jsonrpc.js related to favorites. If I do ["favorites", "items", 0, 300, "want_url:1", "item_id:8"] then the returned JSON is Code: { "loop_loop": [ { "id": "8", "name": "1.FM - ReggaeTrade", "isaudio": 1, "type": "audio", "url": "https://strm112.1.fm/reggae_mobile_mp3";, "cover": "https://d3kle7qwymxpcy.cloudfront.net/images/broadcasts/f5/23/1377/2/c300.png";, "artist": "Switzerland", "description": "The sweet Caribbean sound of Reggae, from Jamaica and around the world, fills 1.FM's AbsoluteReggaeTrade with the genre's giants.", "icon": "https://d3kle7qwymxpcy.cloudfront.net/images/broadcasts/f5/23/1377/2/c300.png";, "value": "https://www.radio.net/s/1fmreggaetrade"; } ], "count": 1 } so the 'original' URL is moved to the .value parameter while the playable URL as figured out by the plugin appears in the .url parameter. But using ["favorites", "items", 0, 300, "want_url:1"] without specifying any "item_id" value returns Code: { "id": "a1a29185.8", "name": "1.FM - ReggaeTrade (Zug, Switzerland / Reggae)", "type": "playlist", "image": "https://d3kle7qwymxpcy.cloudfront.net/images/broadcasts/f5/23/1377/2/c300.png";, "url": "https://www.radio.net/s/1fmreggaetrade";, "isaudio": 1, "hasitems": 1 } which does not have .value and has the original url under .url. The .name parameter here is also different and the .type is playlist instead of audio. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111951 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There's a few corner case and V2.0 solves the issues (and add a few additions). However after putting in the effort to create a V2.0 - I am now scuppered by RadioNet and have to go back and rework V1.* to create a V2.0 without use of API (which means screen scraping and inevitable frequent updates to follow website changes) bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111951 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Scenario 1: Mediaserver is assuming a "playable" item is a ready to go URL.- this is not always true. RadioNet is using a Favorite with a saved "parser" - however this is no longer a commonly used method. LMS has evolved and there are now alternatives. Medaiserver would need to be updated to use RadioNet V1.* Scenario 2: The saving Favorite from a playing station - IIRC having gone through LMS code, LMS saves the currently playing artwork as supplied by the stream and not the artwork of the Favorite (or something like this) . I feel it is a LMS minor "Bug". It could be "fixed" but fixing it will only be available for 8.3 users and couldn't find the time to do the change, full testing and pull-request especially as few users have noticed this issue with other sources. You missed scenario 3: Scenario 3: At lowest level of drilling menus - full URL and cover are available but neither Classic nor Material has a "save as favorite" option. I created a V2.0 of the Plugin using the API which gets around these issues and had hoped to release it but the API has been deprecated so I think that is now a dead end. This means I should re-write section of RadioNet plugin to fix the issues. Current workaround to have cover is to manually edit the Favorites.opml file - LMS must be stopped for this. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111951 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I just had a play with this and I can see that Material is using ["favorites","playlist","play","menu:favorites","item_id:eb5e0bb8.8","isContextMenu:1"]] to play the favorite (which is what I used to do). I guess this method invokes the plugin whereas a direct URL play (which I now do) like ["playlist","play","https://www.radio.net/s/1fmreggaetrade";]] is skipping it? If -all -stations that should play via the "menu:favorites" route have radio.net in their URL then I can easily check on that and make sure to use that method to play them.
