Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2021-12-24 Thread cpd73

Bug-fix release, changes:

- Fix hiding queue.
- Reduce desktop splitter width to 1px.
- When navigating lists by entering text, if press enter then 'click'
  on first match.
- Close expanded now-playing via 'esc' key on desktop layout.
- If displaying a "More..." list and there is already a "More..."
entry in the history, then clear history up to previous "More..." - so
that there is only 1 "More..." entry.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin

2021-12-24 Thread hsmeets

Michael Herger who takes care of the plugin has written here before that
the API that is used does not support that (and other stuff). A few
years ago the API was documented on the Qobuz website but they have
removed all documentation. "We" can count ourselves lucky that Qobuz
left the webservice in place. It could have been closed too and leave us
empty handed with a plug that would not work anymore.

Sadly Qobuz is not forthcoming to give developers like Michael again
access to the API or newer version of that API.

So I keep fingers crossed that Qobuz does not close the webservice
as-is.

Qobuz seems to be a bit off these days anyway.normally they make new
releases visible on friday but a few times I've seen albums return that
were already in their catalog long before. Today it was particularly
strange with a lot of albums with very old release dates and several
already in their catalog.

does the all-black SB sound better than the white SB?

Could it be that PiCorePlayer supports OGG/Vorbis and the h/w players
don't , so need transcoding, or vice-versa ? You can try disabling
OGG/Vorbis output and see what happens.

Wouldn't it be possible to run MusicIP in docker? That would make
installation easier? But my knowledge on that is quite limited.

Could features 1 (multi-disc icon) and 3 (prompting whether to all all
disc) be made optional, or better still turned off automatically when
one has LMS set to display multi-disc sets as multiple albums? That's my
preferred setting, and it makes feature 1 unnecessary, and feature 3 a
bit of a hindrance.

Yes of course. Sorry, I forgot to cater for that scenario. These
features make no sense if discs are shown separately. Will fix for 2.8.2
