Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP bridges update
manx wrote: > No, definitely not I've pushed version 1.0.7 that might deal with the issue (I say might because I can't verify that easily). Multi-sources players like Marantz (I used to have one) use a function of AirPlay remote control that allow then to send a notification to their controller when the user is switching source locally. Basically, this means (leave me alone, I'm now moving on to something else :) - they can also send an "I'm free now" notification). It is supposed to be sent *only* when something happened "locally". Now some players (and I think my Marantz NR1603 used to do that) send a "leave me alone" / "I'm available" quick sequence to their controller even when the track change comes from the controller itself. It's a rapid sequence, they should not send it but they do. That confuses the bridge. That would explain well that this happens only when a track is playing (when you press a "next" after it stopped, it's like the initial "play"). So this new version, in the "When AirPlay disconnect" has new options that you can try. This is an interim version, if this works I'll probably do things a bit differently LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. I had never given it much thought when I have seen it in the list but it will be very useful at my end apart. Some mornings I find my SBT units have turned themselves on during the night, luckily I do not have them set to auto-play! Not sure what causes them to turn on as it is always both of them and it does not relate to power outages, especially having household battery back-up. Now hopefully if they turn on randomly they will power down after the preset period. Funny story, years ago I did have them on auto-play and I was overseas at the time when they turned on, but they also turned on at near full volume, much to the neighbour's annoyance and amusement. Luckily, after they contacted me I was able to control the system remotely and turn it off. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP bridges update
First of all I'd like to echo the expressions of thanks to the developer here - I really appreciate this plugin and the effort that has gone into making and maintaining it. I'm (still) having problems with playback to a Marantz system which the latest 1.06 version has not resolved. Any other Airplay devices I have are working perfectly. My sense is that this was caused by a Marantz (M-CR612) f/w update but I'd like to be sure there's nothing else I can do to get around it. I've tried several LMS versions from 8.2 to 8.31 on two different systems (PiOS on Pi4 and DietPi on x86) and adjusted buffer values, encryption etc to no avail. The choice of binary makes no difference either. This has been described by at least one other user too: After playback has begun on the first track, skipping causes playback to pause on the following track (regardless of the types of file/track involved.) A subsequent skip will allow the next track to play, another skip and playback pauses again, and so on. I've attached an raopbridge log here (all items) in case it's useful. It represents starting the bridge, adding an album of 6 tracks to the queue, allowing the first track to play for a few seconds, skipping to the next one and so on to the end of the album, then stopping the bridge. Thanks again. +---+ |Filename: raopbridge-log.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39044| +---+ manx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70875 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116980 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I just fired up an older laptop and installed Squeeezelite-X. It's really nice. One issue I'm trying to work through is trying to get it to play through and old USB FiiO DAC I have. Windows recognizes it, and it shows up 3 times in the Squeezelite-X options. I can't get any of those settings to output the sound. Any ideas on where to start? Actually, I'm not sure that it is missing, I think there might be a conflict between the two plugins. I do include an xpath module that is dependent on TreeBuilder, which I think is what is causing the problem. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP bridges update
A day later, the AirPlay bridge is still doing everything I ask of it. I did not save any records of the old version's performance, but I think v1.0.6 is using significantly less processor. And there is much less drift of synchronized players. My "all players" sync group (three players connected by ethernet and five wireless players via the AirPlay bridge) ran more than seven hours yesterday with no noticeable drift. That never happened in the past. Usually running latest beta LMS nightly on Raspberry Pi OS with virtual players (Squeezelite and Airplay bridge). Occasionally using SB Radio, Boom or Classic. We would only be looking in 'darwin' or 'darwin-thread-multi-2level'. And I don't see how this would have changed with an OS update. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
Hi again. Not a big deal - but Ive noticed that after an intermittent pause in the music (>60min), the AVR will automatically enter power-save standby while the LMS player (touch) will remain turned on. The player will then happily commence playing without turning on the AVR. Since the plug-in is otherwise good at reading the AVR status - I would have expected it to turn the AVR back on in this scenario? I've been running the firmware on my touch for a month and have not experienced this issue. I'd suggest you first perform a factory reset on the touch. Hi - I'm getting a 'plugin failed to load' error message for the Virgin plugin - is the problem just with me? As others was experiencing update issues with weather forecasts lately. Just upgraded to SDT 5.11.27. It took under 1 minute and the results are there. Still using BEXX0244:1:BE on weather.com and the very local and accurate IKEERB4 on weather underground. Thanks BoomX2!!! I know the above is an old post. But I couldn't get Squeezelite-X to auto start and this is the info I really needed. In task manager enter explorer.exe as application and shell:appsFolder\16237RGregDawson.Squeezelite-X_qhedj8x0bjmhg!SqueezeliteX. Schedule to start when specific user logs in. foxesden's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
