Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify: authentication with Spotty failure

2022-11-11 Thread Michael Herger

I don't think so. My pCP configuration is pretty vanilla I would say.
Happy to share any relevant portion of my configuration, if you want.

any idea about where I could start from, to fix this weird behaviour?

Could you please double check the buffer settings in pCP? I think
they're in the squeezelite section (don't have a pCP with me).

Yes, its the second one that enables the plugin to get a session, it is
continuing to renew, so that's all good.

Ah yes, it probably does show that if it's not available at all. Maybe
it doesn't renew that once it's expired client and server side.

Yes, there seems to be a problem. I think bengaldave
posted somewhere else the reason and his workaround. Have a look at
other threads, where he wrote. There are many. :)

That first expiry date starts off has 2 years from when you first sign
in, I'm not quite sure what happens to it once you have gone past it, it
looks like it just renews in line with your session (by a couple of
hours). It will be interesting to see!

Release 2.25.7 is a maintenance release

It contains improvements to the handling of the security tokens.
My understanding has improved of how the tokens work (that was a fun
time staring and session and identity cookies!) so, once you are signed
in, you should remain signed in permanently until you explicitly sign
out.

It's available now from the beta repository and will be available from
the main repository at the next refresh.

slartibartfast wrote:
> How do you tell when the token expires from the cookies.dat file?

If you look on the setting page :
39095

I've now included 2 key expiry dates on that screen for info/debug
purposes, the first date is the expiry of the credentials token, the
second date is the expiry of the ID token. The second date is renewed
every time the plugin gets a new session (a session lasts a couple of
hours) so should keep moving to about 2 years in advance. The first
date should automatically renew once it expires as long as the second
date has not expired.
