I just discovered this thread and wanted to try bliss on my Raspberry
Pi 4. I received the following error when I tried running analyze:

pi@raspberrypi:/tmp/bliss-analyser-linux-arm-0.2.1 $ ./bliss-analyser
analyze

/tmp/bliss-analyser-linux-arm-0.2.1/bin/bliss-analyser-aarch64:

(required by

Any help would be appreciated.

Newer pies have different crypto chains. So it’s not a huge mystery.
Just a mystery as how to fix the older one.

You’ll be happier running LMS on the newer pi anyway

Indeed. It's a mystery. I've also tried to recreate the issue on the
international streams.

I guess... I am very basic Linux user so I do not know technical

In that case Squeezelite must be installed separately I suppose?

It's been a while since I've looked at this thread or listened to this
channel, I'm curious, if you subscribe to the premium plus service,
which features are currently available on squeezebox devices?

- x5 FLAC channels (do you get 5 unique URLs to add as favourites)?
- meta data/album covers on all feeds (via Paul W's cover art grabber)?
- skipping tracks?
- no fund drive/interruptions?
- free gift (in UK)?

Thanks

I did fix a problem with 'reported number of decoded samples available
in the AAC decoder'
back in March 2021. That might explain why the behaviour is different.

Sorry, it's been a while since I looked at this. Looks like it was back
in June based on the patch I posted.
Yes the radio actually pauses the stream, until the output buffer fills
a bit then resumes. Occasionally, this pause/unpause happens several
times before the stream stabilizes, which could sound similar to
stuttering when you first start a stream. I've not had it happen
afterwards.

The original AAC decoder in the official firmware does not tax the CPU
in the radio as much as the open source variant I'm using now. It would
be good to test if a Touch exhibits the same issue with the BBC sounds
streams. It has a higher powered CPU and more memory and I've not been
able to recreate the issue with a Touch and my test AAC stream. I know
you don't have Touch or at least didn't, but perhaps someone with a
Touch in the UK could try it with the latest firmware.

Well, nothing worked. So I've changed to a newer rPi - and now
everything is just working.

It's a mystery. But heigh-ho - at least I've got my music back now.

In the process of ripping the remainder of my CDs at the moment as my
trusty CD player finally bit the dust (and Naim can no longer fix them)
and switched from v1.3.2 to v1.4.2 on the last batch. They are playing
fine on my Touch. So I would say it seems safe enough to upgrade and the
encoding time is slightly faster. Obviously YMMV as I am doing EAC rips
of CDs and haven't tested with any hires audio.
