Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Beta 0.0.30c - 25/11/2022 - Change plugin png icon from transparent background to white - Add WFMU and its 3 web-only stations - artist, title, coversearch and occasional programme name Without the plugin, I think WFMU would display something like "Song Title" by Artist Name on Programme Name and without coverart. While this tells you what you need to know - it is not really how things are supposed to work. So with the plugin you should see artist, title, album name and coverart (via coversearch) and sometimes will see the programme name. Hi Paul; Via tune in, it plays with artist/song info, but no album art. The real stupidity is (i) the savings (even with large m3u files) is v. small compared to audio and HTTP headers and (ii) why not compress every response. In this case it's not a hard hack to fix. Plugin expects first line to be "#EXTM3U" - if it is not then an error. The hack is , now if no "#EXTM3U" found, then unzip and then see if first line is "#EXTM3U". bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Comment from the RFC that I think is applicable - not that it will help much since the world is as it is https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/inline-errata/rfc8216.html "Compression: this media type does not employ compression." Paul Webster wrote: > That's sneaky. > If there any "Accept" header sent saying compressed is supported? > If yes - then maybe not sending it might stop them doing it. I'm testing with wget and there is no Accept-Encoding with gzip or compress so compression should not be used (and if so should also be indicated in response Content header). It seems it's just the way HLS servers are implemented. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Can someone in USA try playing the geo-locked WRSI https://wrsi.com to see if there is song info when played via LMS? Ideally try via TuneIn and RadioNet I think I could add artist, song and their cover art but there is not much point me adding it if the info is already present.
