Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty.exe not running
Is it not possible to write the Spotify Authorization File directly without using the spotty.exe commands? No, because you need to authenticate with Spotify before you get a token. And I fear that's just the first of your problems: even if you were able to overcome this, it might just crash next time you'd need it. I reinstalled v1.82.2 and the problem also occurs there (along with the return of the track skip-ahead TIME_WAIT problem). I think the reason I didn't notice the volume change problem previously is that I generally would only listen to streaming sources on that Nest Mini pair due to the skip-ahead problem, which makes listening to track-based content too frustrating and, since the unexpected volume changes are triggered by a track change, I didn't encounter the problem. The legacy installer will delete SLX's private browser cache on uninstall and I think that is what actually fixed your problem. In considering this scenario, it occurred to me that it might have been more difficult if you experienced the issue with the Store app in the first place, because the Store App will not delete the cache on uninstall. There does not appear to be a way of doing such a thing with a store app. The cache cannot be in the Store App installation location because that is protected from the WebView2 browser engine and it does not get deleted on uninstall because it is not part of the Store app's virtual file structure. I'm researching it, but in the meantime, I'm making a change for the next version to get the cache cleared after re-installing the Store version. The change works by noticing that a registry setting is missing (which would be the case after an uninstall/install) and so clears the cache. For those switching between the legacy installer and the Store App, I recommend always uninstalling one before installing the other. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Dynamic Playlists 4
Just swapped out DPL3 for DPL4 and find there's no longer a setting in DPLC that specifies the number of tracks to add at a time and seems to be hard coded at 20 tracks. I use this setting if I want to create a playlist that will put all songs that match my criteria into the queue on the first shot. I can then click the save button to save the queue as an M3U playlist that I can put on my phone. I do have a full copy of my library on my phone so all I have to do is change the static path to the tracks to relative paths removing the drive letter and my root music folder from the track entries. When I did DPLC w/DPL3 I could set this value to like 1000 and it would add all the songs that met my criteria to the queue in a single shot. I know your time is limited, but I sure would like to have that setting back so I can generate these playlists again. Thanks for your work on this. With DPL4 you can actually save the result for a dynamic playlist as a -static- playlist. You can enable this in DPL's settings by checking -Allow saving dynamic playlists as static playlists-. Maybe it will save you some time. w3wilkes wrote: > where it saves the SQL? Or is the SQL generated every time the playlist > is played or added to the queue? DPLC creates 2 files in the -DynamicPlaylistCreator- folder (default location in the LMS playlists folder unless changed in DPLC's settings. I've tried to explain this in more details in the '*DPLC FAQ*' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-dynamicplaylistcreator#faq). w3wilkes wrote: > Also in Dynamic Playlists 3 (and probably 4) there was an option to > "Edit" playlists in the "Dynamic Playlists Creator" section where it > lists the DPLC playlists. Should be back in DPL 4.0.1. w3wilkes wrote: > It would be nice if in DPLC where it lists created playlists if there > was a "Play" option along with the "Delete" and "Edit" options. DPLC does not contain any code to play songs or handle parameters - which it would need to start dynamic playlists with -user-input parameters-. SQLPlayList contained a lot of duplicate code from DPL *2*, especially for this purpose. I guess, this was rather unproblematic and manageable at the time, because the number of user-input parameters in DPL *2* was more limited and less complex (no multiple selections, no preselection etc.). I decided to create DPLC more as a kind of dynamic playlist construction kit without duplicate code, which should make the plugin easier to maintain and update. That's why there's no play button. w3wilkes wrote: > After messing with DPLC w/DPL3 I'm thinking DPLC deserves it's own > "Announce" thread. DPLC is and will remain a release candidate version for the foreseeable future until the templates have been used and tested extensively by many users. Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time to test the templates against the myriad of possible parameter combinations. There may still be some bugs in the templates and that's why I've hesitated so far to create an annouce thread. But maybe it's time and maybe I'll do it in January, in any case *after* the release of the *next update which will drop DPLC support for -Dynamic Playlists- version 3*. BTW thanks for your patience. Let me know if it happens again and perhaps we can get some log information. I can't say what caused it, but it seems that the CLI connection succeeded but it failed to load the web page. (I'm assuming you are using Material Skin.) Are you using the store version or the regular "legacy" installer? I have done this to myself before by making manual changes to material skin source and breaking it. I suppose it could also happen if you manually install/update the Material Skin add-in without clearing the cache. Or, of course, it could be something else (bug?). Anyway, I am suspecting the browser cache more than the registry. The legacy installer would have removed the browser cache on uninstall. There are also "Clear Cache" and "Reset All" options in advanced settings that would do the same thing, assuming you could get to settings. In any case, I'm going to look at detecting this scenario, i.e. something prevents the web page from loading and my code does not receive an "OnNavigationCompleted" message from the browser. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi Philippe, First I want to thank you for a great plugin. I saw that there is an auto_play flag in prefs that isn't available in GUI. I tried turning it on but my airplay devices doesn't start playing when I turn them on. Is it possible to make it work like that or what is the purpose of the auto_play flag? ml-1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72697 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105198 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yeah, I can see that if I run in a browser. Never noticed before as I always use the APK. Anyhow, I'll fix this for the next release, as its a bit annoying! It only happens on the 'Browse' button as that uses an SVG for its icon. BTW, you can also click on the text in the sub-toolbar - this will then show a menu allowing you to navigate home or to a specific place in the history. *Material debug:* 1.
