Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: License Manager, plugins/applets going commercial

Am I correct in thinking that this uses an internet-requiring 'phone
home' method of checking licensed status? (meaning that if the server
that confirms the license goes down, all applets/plugins will revert to
unlicensed status)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller

2010-07-28 Thread Necromancyr

Having an odd problem.

So, I'm using the off/SDT weather clock as my 'off' clock. Was working
fine. We had a power outage and now all of a sudden no weather comes
up. Time shows up, symbols at the bottom come up (alarm, stop, etc.)
but nothing weather related.

I've updated SDT to the patched version for the weather changes and the
other SB Radio I have is working fine with this screen.

Completely baffled. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
applet...didn't help.

If possible, it might be good to have the parse strings external to the
module's compressed file. Would make it easier for users to do quick
edits and share them. Or incorporate into the SBS UI.

If MLB icons are coming up as 'getMLB-33' or whatever number for a team,
is there a specific issue I should look into fixing? It doesn't ALWAYS
happen, but sometimes it does and seems to randomly resolve later.

Thanks GC, I've been doing this but the following two 'issues' still
occur:
- The 2 line display (right side of my screen) is not right justified
so I need to use spaces to make things be in the right place. Because
of this, when certain lines in the 3 line display portion (2nd line I
believe) change in length, things 'move'. The second point is
nitpicky, but it annoys me in moving from one period to another.

- The default/non-removable screens where the date is shown below the
day/forecast have the top line left justified if it's overly long and
it is overtop of the icon.

Seems the national college football grabbing is bombing out and causing
baseball (and maybe other sports grabs) to stop after the initial

Just an FYI. Could be because it's between seasons or something, not
sure.

Yeah, I thought it looked familiar and went in and dug around and
figured it out. Basically, multiple versions of the plugin installed
and I had to clear, reinstall, etc., once more just to get everything
perfect.

Now baseball is working. We'll see how football works in a few months.

Does a certain font need to be used or some other config option be set?

Hrm...Ok, got a boom. Got this installed. However, when I turn off the

[SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP - Remotely access config page?

2010-04-20 Thread Necromancyr

I'm having an oddball issue - I can't access the MusicIP headless
service webpage from a computer other than my server on my internal
network.

I can connect to the server every other which way, but trying to bring
up the page through a browser on another computer just times out.

Am I missing a setting or something for the software that makes it
local only?
