Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Hey all I've recently swapped back to BoomX2's version of SDT in light of the free Weather Underground API coming to an end. I believe I have installed correctly however I can't get it to display any actual weather data. I've tried using the default Chicago identifier but no luck. I only typically use temperature, %R but only the degree symbol is displayed, no number. I have time & date & an icon, along with the current forecast. I've had a look in the log but nothing obvious appears to me, can anyone else see anything? Hey all Not much activity in this thread of late (hopefully everyone is problem free!) but I'd like to raise a problem my brother has with his HiFiBerry AMP+ (which uses the Raspberry Pi 2) & hope some people still look in :-) It seem each time the unit is rebooted, the attached USB hard drive's port designation changes & thus the library is lost until rescanned. Has anyone else encountered this a know of a solution? I've googled the problem & have seen a number of people with a similar issue with RPI but am unsure exactly what needs to be done to resolve. Hey all I've tried installing BoomX2's 5.9.16 on my Max2Play Odroid without much success. Although it shows in Active Plugins, I continually get the message Please restart Logitech Media Server for the changes to take effect, even after I've restarted. flysurfer wrote: @Paden: you may connect the Max2Play-Device directly to your TV via HDMI and use XBMC to play video or show pictures that are available on the device or somewhere else in your network. Or you may use Samba-Shares to get access to your data on the Max2Play-Device from other network players. If these players do not support browsing network shares (like your TV probalby) it becomes difficult. I will have a look at adding DLNA-Support by just clicking a button in the webinterface. This is supported by more devices and will be available by just using the update-Button in a future version of Max2Play. That sounds great thanks for the explanation! If you only have one profile then it will be used all the time. I think what you are after is to have SqueezeIR controlling your amp when the Controller is connected to your Classic but inactive when connected to your other players? If I've understood you correctly then you need two profiles. First, ensure that your existing profile has the same name as your Classic. Now create a blank, dummy profile in your profiles section like this: Code: profile ID=Disabled/profile Go to SqueezeIRSettingsReload Configuration then set the 'Default Profile' to 'Disabled' and ensure 'Use Player Profiles' is checked. Now, when you connect to the Classic, the player's profile will override the default profile and SqueezeIR will send ir codes but when connected to a different player the default profile (Disabled) will be in effect and SqueezeIR will do nothing (because the profile is empty), causing the Controller to behave as if it wasn't there. Hi all Great work indifference_engine on getting SqueezeIR to now load from your repository! Just had my SBC replaced due to very low display brightness after several unsuccessful hours reconfiguring it this evening, it suddenly dawned on me that the xml file now lies in a folder with the MAC address of the SBC, which I hadn't yet updated :-) Something I did notice while testing the new SBC is that I'm unable to adjust the volumes of either my Radio or Boom, instead it's sending out the volume command for my amp. To be honest I almost exclusively use my SBC with my Classic so have never noticed this behaviour before. My understanding was that having only one profile, called Classic in my .xml, that the SqueezeIR commands would only work when in that profile. Have I misunderstood something or made a mistake with my .xml file which I've attached. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeIR - A Generic Infra-Red Remote Control Applet for the Duet's SBC
Hi indifference_engine Thanks for all your efforts in keeping this plugin up to date! I've just installed v0.6 from v0.41 after upgrading to 7.5.0 although it appears to have installed correctly none of my Pronto commands now work??? I replaced the existing .xml file in the newly installed version of SqueezeIR with my file from the previous version, is there anything else I should've done? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeIR - A Generic Infra-Red Remote Control Applet for the Duet's SBC
Thanks for the tip, I opened my xml file in IE there were indeed a few syntax errors which I've now corrected. However I'm still unable to access the SqueezeIR menu the mapped buttons don't work. I'm think my problem may lie within remotes, as when I disabled the section in profiles between keys /keys in menus between events /events relating to remotes (as in your example above), I was then able to access the SqueezeIR menu (although it did nothing). I've attached my amended xml file the Controller log (I tried using SqueezeIR just before copying the log), hopefully something will stand out to you. I'd like to be able to use the volume buttons on the SBC to control my amp volume have menu options available from the screen when in the Classic menu to switch everything on one more to switch it all off ideally using the Go button.
