Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Consolidating albums with tracks in multiple directories?
Tried the DISC/DISCC route, no change. Do I need to rescan the entire library from scratch? I just rescanned the changed files after editing these tags... DISCNUMBER also didn't work. I've downloaded Picard, trying to figure out how to use it now to simply assign an album id on my existing (tagged) tracks without changing other stuff... -- PaulyT - Paul PaulyT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25714 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Oh wait, it seems I do have to rescan the library from scratch; when I did that, it worked! (using disc number tags) This will work for me. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Consolidating albums with tracks in multiple directories?
Thanks! So, it appears this bug fix has been applied to 7.3.3, but after I grabbed the nightly snapshot, installed, and completel re-scanned my library, I still have this problem. The album and artist name tags are the same for all tracks, the main difference being composer - and hence a different directory in my library. Is there anything else I can try here? This is a really annoying problem for me as many classical CDs have multiple composers. -- PaulyT - Paul PaulyT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25714 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Consolidating albums with tracks in multiple directories?
Note that this is not a variable artists issue. The album, artist, and album artist are the same for each track. It's using either the composer or (more likely) the directory as the grouping flag; that is, if three of the tracks all have composer X, then there will be an album with just these three tracks in it (along with separate albums of the same name with the other composers' tracks). -- PaulyT - Paul PaulyT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25714 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Consolidating albums with tracks in multiple directories?
Hi! I listen mostly to classical music, and as such have set up my music library so that tracks are stored in directories by composer (and album and artist). Thus an album with multiple composers will have tracks stored in multiple directories. I just got a squeezebox (classic), and am setting it up and learning to use it. My main problem so far (in the web interface) is that in the 'albums' or 'artist' views (with default squeezecenter or the CustomBrowse plugin), albums are listed multiple times if they have different composers because of these multiple directories. If I want to listen to the entire album, I have to manually add tracks from each separate listing of this album (for each composer). Is there some way to get the web browser interface to consolidate tracks into a single album heading when the album name (+artist?) is the same? Is this possible with CustomBrowse or some other plugin?
