[SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioFeeds Plugin won't load

2011-08-04 Thread Stone Free

I tried to follow the instructions at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/mypicks
which points you to
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeCenter_Plugins

That says:

For Linux servers, the plugins directory is typically
/usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins, /usr/local/squeezecenter/Plugins or
/opt/squeezecenter/Plugins.

Which doesn't map correctly on the QNAP

The SBS Info page has two directories:
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins,
/share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/SqueezeBoxServer/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins

I've also found another one:
/opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins

That is totally empty, I have other 3rd Party ones from repositories.
I'm assuming that the first one listed by SBS is the correct one as it
has some folders I recognise as matching plugin names, however having
now rebooted twice (a second time after the plugins page asked for a
restart), I can't seem to find where or if the plugin has been
installed.

First I put it in the first one from the SBS Info page, when I rebooted
the server the plugins page asked for a restart, but after that nothing
new appeared in the plugins. Yesterday morning I looked in that
directory and the RadioFeedsSBS sub-directory had disappeared. I've now
put it in the second directory.

This time the plugins page shows PLUGIN_RADIOFEEDSSBS (v1.02) Plugin
failed to load The AlienBBC Team and Vincent Lo

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2011-07-30 Thread Stone Free

I have a squeezebox classic, using SBS 7.5.5. How do I get to the
streams?

I tried Internet Radio\BBC iPlayer\Radio X

However I get Error: No Items found in playlist

The plugin is listed in Plugins, and all the AAC items are checked

Unfortunately, I have no experience with QNAP devices.

Anyway, there are a couple of different ways you can try to go about
this. If the QNAP allows you root access via ssh to it's operating
system, then you can use PuTTY WinSCP to do some spelunking. You'll
also have to pose some questions on forums devoted to your device.

But basically, your task will be to:

1). Determine what user account the squeezeboxserver service runs under
on the QNAP. On a regular linux distribution, SBS runs under the
account 'squeezeboxserver'. If you can get ssh+root access to the
QNAP, you can try the command:
For some reason the arguments to ps don't seem to make any difference it
always seems to show every process. I tried looking at the Man page for
ps, but all of the different command types whether prefixed by two
dashes, one dash, or no dashes didn't seem to do anything.

The SSOTS Qnap package does seem to list both a Mysql and Squeezeserver
PID maybe I should just try and match these against the users shown by
ps

How do I go about getting this to work on a QNAP 219P. I have installed
SUDO via Itsy package manager, but I have no idea what I'm meant to put
in the SUDOERS file. I've also no idea how to go about installing
PM-Utils on the QNAP because it doesn't seem to be installable via
Itsy.
