I guess I jumped the gun too fast as well. It would have been nice if logitech would have included the xmradio functionality like they did for so many other 3rd party plugins. It almost seems each time logitech comes out with a new version of slimserver they purposely break xmradio plugin. Back to the last version of slimserver and I'll wait it out. Not much discussion about this. Anyone know if someone is working on it? I used to use XMRadio all the time through my squeezebox. I have a separate connection from my computer to my stereo and now play XMRadio directly and bypass the Squeezebox, which means I am using the squeezebox less and less, which is a bummer as I used to like to switch around. But without XMRadio working through SC it is not as convenient to switch back and forth. Anyone know if a fix is coming? I switched my skin to the classic skin, and it sped things up. But it is still much slower then media player. And it sometime times out when I do search of ask for a list of songs which I know will be long. Thanks for the reply. I will try that. Though I am having a problem I have not had before. When I do: In the SqueezeCenter Settings/Custom Browse web interface select Manage menus. It just hangs trying to load the page. In fact it just keeps on doing that until it times out somehow. If I close the settings page and open it again, and it does not open this time for any of the settings. Just keeps on trying to load the settings page. While this is happening squeezecenter also hangs on any request. I have to stop squeezecenter, then start it again to recover. Or I can just wait it out about 5 - 10 minutes. I am running 7.01 on windows XP. I was able to look around all the custom browse setting earlier this week without any issue. I have recently installed musicIP, it has scanned my collection, and it is currently archiving the information back into the mp3s. I thought this might be the problem so the last time I restarted squeezecenter, I disabled musicip plugin. Restarted squeezecenter again, and then tried to Manage menus, it is still hanging. Any ideas? It is a AMD Athlon X2 dual core 3800 2GB RAM. It is working now. Once MusicID finished its syncing, the CustomBrowse settings started to work again. But I would have to say that the whole program SqueezeCenter is s much slower then Windows Media Player. Could that be the problem. When I have something else running, Process heavy plugins in squeezecenter time out? By the way, that trick with Filtered Singles and just empty the Comment tag field did exactly what I wanted to do. But again because it now has to populate the screen with all the songs from a singer, if that particular singer has many songs it takes a while to load. Windows Media Player returns all the songs by one singer instantly. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse: Artist\Track
I am wondering if it is possible to view the whole list of tracks (songs) by a particular artist, and choose what to play from that list. I would like to be able to do this on the web based interface on the computer AND on the Duet remote. Right now I choose View by Artist, it then gives me a list of Albums. As I do not always remember what album the song is on, I have to go through multiple albums to find the songs I want. I would like to be able to just view the whole list of tracks by one artist. For example, in browse music list, choose Artist then just get a list of all their songs (tracks). It does not matter what album the music is on. Does anyone know how to do this with or without the custom browse plugin? I have a Duet with 7.1 and I installed the XM plugin. All seems to work great. Except I cannot access it from the remote. I only see the icon choice from the squeeze center on my PC. Can anyone help?
