Sounds like a great addition to the Squeezebox ecosystem. I was looking to see if anyone has done an Alexa-DLNA integration; there's House Band (US only) which is designed to work with J River Media center. I see some people have then bridged J River to Sonos. amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106569 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Some while back in this thread I grumbled about fractional second 'glitches' on the Touch when using AAC streams in iPlayer. The solution for me was to use the File Type config to disable native AAC and used faad server-side to convert to FLAC. This worked fine for me. However, somehow in the process of upgrades the glitches have returned to the Touch and looking at Task Manager faad isn't a running process. Rebooted Server but no change. I've had AAC transcoded to FLAC server-side for while, think I mentioned fractional-second glitches earlier in the thread or another thread on iPlayer. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] UK: BBC HD Sound - BBCiPlayer Support
Touch/Radio process the stream direct and so don't rely on the server for processing the rtmp or doing the aac decode That suggested a work-around; I disabled native AAC in File Types so faad is transcoding to FLAC. Very well on a 10Mbps circuit from VirginMedia. how many people can tell the difference between the live radio 3 stream at 192k and the 320k trial stream? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
Couple of things for me - 1) Running on Vista 32-bit with 7.2 nightly, the application 'PsShutdown' isn't there in the standard build. Get the PsTools collection from TechNet and install in C:\Windows. 2) A weird thing. Vista power profile is set without any sleep timer, but a press on the power button will put it to sleep and keyboard will wake it up and it'll stay running. I found that if I sleep the system using SvrPowerControl, then use WOL from the SB3 the machine will stay on while SB3 is active. A few *seconds* after stopping playout on the SB3, Vista goes back to sleep.
