At the top is a panel for each of my players and at the bottom 'music sources' (SN and 'imac lan'). I think the wavy line is the 'sync' icon but touching it seems to give very unpredicatble results - touching any player seems to select the bottom control and highlights it briefly. Touching the wavy line highlights the player controls in white and keeps the highlighted. Sometimes i can get the wavy line to have a cross through it but can't work out how. Sometimes the player panel shrinks slightly and has a black patch to the right side. I think this panel needs work. I think the top panels should ONLY be used to show status and allow you to select that player - the bottom of the screen should let you change player settings for the player selected. The top panels are too small and it's too easy to change something by accident. I've found the iPeng instructions at penguinlovesmusic but i don't seem to have the synchronise menu that is shown in the screenshots. I've not used muscicIP for a couple of years and last time was on a PC. Is there a guide to getting it playing with Slimserver on a mac anywhere? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze not working from two machines at the same time.
Ok. My set up is - iMac operating as server, 2 players, Macbook laptop. I've been running 7.0a for some time but installed 7.0.0 today. When i added the macbook i used Apple's migration tool to copy everything from my iMac to the Macbook. I have a user account with the same name on both machines. This meant SC was also on the macbook so i followed the instructions to completely remove it. My problem is that if i try to run softsqueeze on both the iMac and the Macbook at the same time everything gets very confused as SC seems to think they're the same instance of the player - the screen flickers between 'can't connect to server' and whatever the other player is playing. If i rename the softsqueeze player on one machine, close it, open softsqueeze on the other then SC picks up the name of the last one used. I've been running an 7.0a for the last few months and have just moved to 7.0.0 and installed AlienBBC on the iMac for the first time (I'd only used in under 6.5 on XP before). I'm testing using softsqueeze and the web interface at the moment but assume i'd get the same issue on my Squeezeboxes. Mostly working fine but not all streams are playing properly - on quite a few i don't get any sound until i hit pause and play again.
