I bought a Google Home. Very nice hardware, but I returned it because 1)
no Harmony integration in UK 2) no Hab-Tunes! :D

Could be time to reassess...

If I disable firewalld on my Fedora VM running LMS I can see the
'testing' Spotty instance on my desktop Spotify client.

I'm using standard LMS web GUI where seek doesn't work. This is the LMS
version on Fedora VM : Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 -
0.150.20161204git1480516903 @ Sun Dec 4 22:26:20 GMT 2016

I installed LMS on my Windows 10 laptop then setup Spotty and could use
seek in the LMS web GUI. This is LMS Version on Windows 10 :
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1494667952 @ Sat May 13 09:39:18

Code:

[root@fedora-lms ~]#
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/x86_64-linux/spotty
 -n testing -c /tmp -a

 gives no console output.

By lack of seek, I mean that I can't click on a specific time in the
track to jump to that point.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] For the brave only: the Spotty Spotify implementation

2017-05-22 Thread badboygolf16v

I couldn't get the Spotify Connect authentication to work, manual entry
of my Spotify credentials worked fine.

Could that be related to a firewall on my server VM?

FYI I'm running Fedora.

uname -a
Linux fedora-lms.local 4.10.14-100.fc24.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed May 3 19:09:53
UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Apart from the lack of seek functionality it's working great.

Thanks Michael.

I think the error may be related to the startup server log message which
is defaulting to HTTP.

When I browse the URL directly in Chrome I get the info back, when I
switch the protocol to HTTP I get
{"error":{"errors":[{"domain":"global","reason":"sslRequired","message":"SSL

Thanks for this plugin, great idea.

Sometimes the audio plays back too quickly. Sample rate issues perhaps?
Did you see this before?

Any suggestions appreciated.
