Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: LMS Controls - Google Home / Google Assistant Voice Control of LMS Players
Just to say thank you for creating this project! I've got it working (sort of) and even added an "unpause" command. Being a complete noob to home automation I found the Home Assistant side of things to be a huge learning curve but I think I now understand it a bit at least. The Dialogflow is a fantastic tool that I'm looking forward to using more. The only issue I haven't yet solved is that I need to be in Google Home on my phone - the normal Google Assistant doesn't recognize "Talk to my squeezeserver" while Google Home does. Maybe I need to deploy it from within Google Actions but it isn't clear to me how to keep it private! One thing I'd say, working out how it all works, configuring it and extending it could take over quite a few days of your life that you're never going to get back! Is it worth it? Yes, I think it is, for me at least. I'm talking more and more to my android phone (it's either that or talking to the dog) and this is just a natural progression. So Cheers! PS My set up is Hass.io on an RPi3 talking to LMS on another RPi and 3 SB duets scattered around the house. chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109273 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen
Just to say a big thank you to Michael for the work he's put in to re-enable (most of) the Spotify functionality. The broken search was generating complaints from the family so really pleased to have a solution so quickly. For other technically challenged people like me, I disabled Triode's spotify plugin then restarted the LMS. I then enabled Michael's Spotify Protocol Handler and the Logitech Spotify plugin via the Plugins tab on the LMS Settings web page. Restarted again, to be on the safe side. Set the Spotify username and password for the Spotify Protocol Handler in the settings. I then went to http://www.mysqueezebox.com/appgallery and added the spotify app and configured it for my account. Restarted LMS again! Lo and behold, the Spotify app was visible in the My Apps section on the LMS web page and it worked :D BTW I play the music through Duet Receivers in several rooms, but control them using Squeeze Commander on my android phone and tablet. The Spotify icon is in the main menu in Squeeze Commander which is great. Also, running LMS 7.9.0 - 1453057784 @ Sun Jan 17 19:41:43 UTC 2016 on a Raspberry Pi 2. chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105187 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hi Triode, Another big thank you for your Spotify plugin, has been a huge success with me and my family. I've just upgraded my music server from a RPi B to the new RPi 2. Everything has gone well apart from Spotify which I guess is due to the change of architecture from armv5 to 7. Testing the plugin works up to the point of streaming the music from Spotify. Is it possible to replace the armv5hf libspotify with the latest one from https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/libspotify/ manually or do you need to rebuild other components? Thanks for any help with this! chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Given the uncertain future of the squeezebox system, I decided to just renew my multi library licence for a year rather than purchase licences for everything. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeCommander and SqueezePlay Custom Home Menu
I'm using SqueezeCommander to control SqueezePlay, both running on my Samsung Android phone. It works fantastically well. I hardly ever use my Duet controllers anymore. However, I wondered if it was possible to customize the home menu in SqueezeCommander, and in particular, to make the Sleep menu item available on it, rather than going down through the settings menu. A minor inconvenience, I know, but I play audio books quite often when I go to bed and it would remove one of those little annoyances that can be a real pain when you're already half-asleep ;-) Hmm, actually having asked the question has made me think of a solution - have one of the Duet controllers and its cradle next to the bed, especially since they are no longer in constant use. On the other hand, the controller quite often needs to be rebooted to recover the ability to play back files after a period of inactivity, so I'll ask the question anyway since it would still be a useful feature to have. -- chemirocha chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93497 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks Erland. I hadn't spotted that change. I'll try it tonight when I get home. Re the QNAP - yes, it's OK for most things but it hasn't got the horsepower of a normal PC. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Multi-Library/Custom Browser and removing standard menus on SBC
I have recently purchased a Duet and I'm currently getting into the wonderful world of SqueezeCenter. On my QNAP TS-209 Pro I am running SC 7.1 - 21605. I use the Multi-Library plugin a lot because I have a normal music collection (ripped from my CDs) plus a spoken word collection and then another music collection which is made up of mostly downloaded files where each artist will maybe only have 1 or 2 tracks and there may not be an album as such. On the disk, my music folders look like: Music Library/Music CDs/Pop/Artist1/Album1/Track1... Music Library/Music CDs/Reggae/Artist1/Album1/Track1... Music Library/Spoken Word/Crime/Author1/Book1/Track1... Music Library/Spoken Word/Kids/Author1/Book1/Track1... Music Library/Indie Tracks/Track1... I pretty much mirror this using Multi-Library (eg I have Crime, Kids etc. multi-libraries with a menu group of Spoken Word) and that is working fine. However, on my duet controller, under Music Library, as well as the Music CDs, Spoken Word and Indie Tracks menus I have the standard Artists, Albums, Genres, Years, New Music etc. menus. The problem with these is that the Indie Tracks introduce a huge number of artists and albums that just confuse the issue! These standard browse techniques become unusable and I'd like to get rid of them if I could. Is there anyway of hiding the standard browse menus? Failing that, moving my multi-library custom browsers to the top of the list would be a huge improvement. Would the Library Order parameter achieve this - I have no idea what it is. BTW I cannot change the settings for Custom Browser (at least not the menu ones) if I have multi-library enabled - the browser times out I think and I am left with an empty settings frame. The QNAP goes to 100% for a while, and does not finish whatever it has to do until after the page has timed out - anyway of increasing that time? I guess the poor thing has too many custom menus to process when the multi-libraries are defined. I have to disable the multi-library plugin, restart SC, change the custom browser menus, re-enable multi-library, then restart SC again. As you can imagine, this is a real pain! Last, but by no means least, thank you Erland for these fantastic plugins - they make a world of difference! -- chemirocha chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49723 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
