ok so great news was that I was able to get into my old pc, download the unifi config file and upload it successfully to my new pc. bad news is that: - 192.168.0.166 is an IP address on a network where the CCs are located? - What are the addresses of the CCs? ALL THE SAME DOMAINS - your Windows firewall allows squeeze2cast-win.exe to go through? YES, I EVEN TURNED OFF THE FIREWALL AND IT STILL DIDN'T GENERATE - your Windows is not in a VM? NO - your router has no filtering for multicast packet? NO, NONE OF THE CCs are wireless either so it's not needed... - your router does not have IGMP snooping activated? So IÂve been getting a lot of stops in my Pandora app. Here is the log. I dont suppose anyone wants to tweak the Deezer app to support FLAC? The IckStream app hasnt been updated in 2 years and the navigation there versus the Deezer app is really wonky... not to mention none of the radio stations nor does artist radio work. I just thought that since the Tidal app works with FLAC that the Deezer app would be able to as well. Hey just noticed something cool. If you have the plugin what was that last tune installed, you can use that to get to all this stuff via the mysqueezebox applications like Deezer and Pandora. Its a bit wonky to have to go through all the menus to get to it, but it works really cool!! I love this plugin, especially the related artist and credits. So I've noticed this plugin acts very differently per the source of music. For example: - Pandora, there is no "artist info" or "album info". (but on Pandora there is a send to Tidal and send to Amazon but no send to Deezer) - Deezer via Mysqueezebox.com, there is no "artist info" or "album info." - Deezer via IckStream, it works well, - Shoutcast Radio, I only get "artist info' and no "album info." should it work the same way per music source? I noticed when you bring up the options window for a currently playing song, there is a option to send it to Tidal, Flixr, Amazon... how did this get here? and is there an "easy" way to get michaels artist/album info options for this as well? or is there a way to add a option to send it to Deezer? Besides Tidal, Deezer streams in flac cd quality and is 10 dollars per month cheaper than Tidal which is why I subscribe to their HiFi service... ok per Michael's suggestion that the perl command may be in a different location, I used the command find -name "perl" to find the perl command and just used that directory and it worked. (I am learning). However, now when entering the line "OPENSSL_PREFIX=/opt ../../bin/perl Makefile.PL" I get the error "Unresolvable external dependency. This package requires a C complier. NA: Unable to build a distribution on this platform" Any idea on solving this error? Any idea about this error? ok so now that I updated to 7.9.1 and I am looking at my log files in SSOTS a lot I see a ton of errors in musicip and spicefly. I am have my LMS installed on my NAS (QNAP 219P+). so conceptually I thought the way this worked is that MusicIP scanned your files and added a lot of additional information into the file to use for mixing. Then Spicefly uses that information to create mixes. Looks like my mixes are created randomly from the genre. I know I don't have music ip application installed on the qnap because I have already analyzed the music. so there is a "search" option at the bottom of the deezer list via ickstream which will search via song, album or artist. but, what's not working is the Radio stations. Hey just a couple of general questions about Deezer: 1. There are two ways to play, via mysqueezebox.com and via ickStream? 2. Mysqueezebox.com only support 320k streaming? 3. Mysqueezebox.com option will only work if you pay for Premium+? 4. Does the free version of Deezer work on ickStream? It still streams in 320k which isn't bad... 5. Does the ickStream method support the FLAC streaming? if so, is anyone use Deezer via ickStream and getting the full FLAC streaming? I believe that requires a HiFi account. Hello. This is an interesting plug in but I am assuming that it's really made to have an airplay device as a player such as another set of speakers? Would there be any way to do the reverse. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SugarCube and MusicIP for music mixing
So I have reverted back to the SugarCube and MusicIP combo for music mixing for the obvious reasons. Other than the occasional unanalyzable track (although I don't understand why I have so many - about 2% of my collection), I think it works pretty great as long as you have MusicIP analyze new tracks and all. But I do have a question. I noticed in the server settings, under player, there is a drop down for both MusicIP and Sugarcube per player. I have never done anything to change the settings on the MusicIP dropdown. Should I be updating settings here also? Also if there is a comprehensive page in settings this up, I would like to review. It seems there are setup bits and pieces scattered in many places and I find it challenging. I'm just curious, not challenging the choice :) yea you got it, that's what i am looking for. haha -- winamp has a fantastic interface that looks really awesome -- so I can display artist info, song lyrics, album art, album info, visualization in a very nice interface that completely customizable and modular. there really isn't anything else I've seen (except for Muso) that even comes close. Muso is good but it's not as customizable like winamp. of course I am open to other suggestions as well. ;) I like to use my 55" TV to display info about what I am listening to... I also have a 55" TV on an rooftop with amazing Chicago skyline views and it's really cool to have it up there as well during parties and such... Right now I am using Muso. Hello and question for all you. Is there a creative way to use SqueezePlay, Squeezelite, SoftSqueeze or SqueezeSlave on the same PC as my Logitech Media Server, to also run Winamp so Winamp can display the current song info?? I have 1.4.30, shall I give it a > go? > Help please > Rob I am having the same problem. all the artwork is coming from the internet. i can also tell it's not looking in the tag information in each track because using Mp3tag, i've tagged each track with a high resolution (900x900 or larger) image so it looks better -- I am using MUSO on a 52" TV and when the higher resolution artwork is thus a very nice to have, that way it's not grainy. But MUSO is displaying a grany image and LMS shows the image from the tag. I tested this by within Mp3tag, tagging a completely different image... I would think that MUSO should look at the embedded album art within the file first, then if that's not found go to the folder, then last go out to the internet... the fact that I am seeing a completely different image than what's in the folder or tagged shows me that it's only going out to the internet. Great application. I am having a problem with it -- after displaying about 10-15 songs, it freezes. The new song does not refresh. I can use the application, file menus, etc... but when I refresh or hit "now playing" it always displays the song it froze on. I have to shut down and restart Muso. that only works sometimes. Is there anyway to have winamp display what's currently playing on the squeezebox server? I know you can send a stream to winamp but that's not really what I am looking to do. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Display song info in Wimamp
As many of you know, Winamp does a much better job at displaying current information about the current song playing. My winamp setup shows current play list, album art, lyrics, detailed biography of artist, and spectrum analyzer all in different windows that I can customize their size and location which all changes at every song change. I know you can stream to winamp, but the problem is that if you want to sync with another player i've never gotten that to work. so frustrating. i wouldn't even want it to sync exaclty, a few seconds late or early doens't matter to me, what i'm after is displaying information about a song... So is there a way for slimserver to just send current song info to winamp? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Multiple Windows in SlimServer Web
With excellent plugins like biography and song lyrics, it would be great for the web front in to be customizable with multiple, resizable windows (much like winamp is). This way, we can display multiple pieces of information about the song/album/artist as the song appear. How great would it be to have on one screen the current playlist, the song lyrics, biography of the artist, and album art cover.
