After months of flawless behaviour, this app has just stopped playing anything from Spotify. I'm trying to play a Spotify playlist and it jumps from track to track as if it can't find them. Restarting the server doesn't change anything. I'm hoping Spotify haven't suddenly decided to block it! Anything I can do to help debug this? Fantastic plugin - thank you for your work on this. One question I have for you: I assume the limitation of not having an account playing on more than one (unsynced) device simultaneously applies. If that's the case, is there any way I can force one player to use my account and another, say, to use my wife's. One other question on Spotty: I've got some scripts which trigger various player actions. I used to be able to play tracks by passing the spotify url (eg "spotify://track:7M0fsXo6rpXOKkveYooBob" or "spotify://album:21dbYScNUKn2Y1Vae8lACJ"). It seems that the "track" item works with Spotty but not the "album" ones (I've also tested with "playlist" links as well which also don't work). Are there any plans for Spotty to handle these items? If not, please accept my apologies. I'm seeing the same behaviour on Squeezer. If I search, say for Apparat, I get a list of artists containing "Apparat". Selecting the one I want then gives me a blank list. If I go back to the list of past searches I can see "Apparat" and "Apparat_Apparat". Clicking the first one then takes me to the normal search results screen. Michael, You may well be right, this could just be happening on the saved playlists. I genuinely believed this happened when queuing things directly from the Spotify app but that may not be the case. Apologies for misleading you. The artwork isn't shown in the web UI for some tracks so I don't think it's an issue for my own apps. For my own apps I use python and the command line interface. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem with Spotify Artwork
I've got a strange issue and I'll see if I can explain it here. I'm using the Spotify Protocol Handler plugin and the official Spotify app on Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1483028105. When I browse Spotify (using Squeezer app or web interface) I can see all the spotify artwork. However, once I add this to my own playlist the artwork for many tracks disappears. I have a couple of custom apps that need to access the artwork so it's a shame that this is getting lost. Does anyone have any ideas what's happening? I'm having a few issues with Spotify from the command line. I used to be able to play tracks, albums, playlists etc by using "spotifyplcmd menu:1 cmd:load" followed by the relevant spotify uri. I think this must have been reliant on Triode's plugin because, having updated to the Spotify Protocol Handler app, this command no longer works. So, I changed my approach and can play tracks via "playlist play spotify://track:7M0fsXo6rpXOKkveYooBob". That works fine. However, if I try to play an album (e.g. "playlist play spotify://album:21dbYScNUKn2Y1Vae8lACJ") it doesn't work. Can someone point me in the right direction for getting this to work. Unfortunately, I can't reinstall Triode's plugin so I do need to get this to work. Firstly, I just wanted to say a big thank you to the devs. I adore the Logitech Media Server and use it regularly to play music around my house on my Raspberry Pis. I then came across this Spotify plugin and it worked so well I've now become a Spotify subscriber (means I can play the music my wife and kids like!). I'm very happy controlling the system using SqueezeCommander on my phone, but I was just wondering whether the plugin was also supposed to appear in the list of devices in the Spotify app. If not, is this something that can be done? This is by no means a deal breaker for me - I'm just curious.
