[SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC v2.4a5test-7.3 and Slimp3
Hi there, I have recently upgraded to Squeezecenter 7.4, and I have encountered a problem with AlienBBC playback of BBC Live Streams. The streams play perfectly on my Squeezeboxes and Transporter, but do not work on my Slimp3. The logs give this error when I attempt to play: [09-05-06 09:27:21.9231] Slim::Player::Song::open (341) Error: Couldn't create command line for rtsp playback for [rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra?BBC-UID=b4f9af7ab28923d3d59976db71fc6fc22b012dd4a070910424bf548648b0fecaSSO2-UID=] Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC v2.4a5test-7.3 and Slimp3
...so it is. Sorry about that, I tried searching initially but for some reason didn't spot that thread. My search-fu is obviously weak today. In summary: changing the custom-convert.conf transcoding rate for rtsp - mp3 did the trick. -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63079 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] rtsp error Ubuntu/Debian AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
Right, got it working. Turns out that I was being bitten by the permissions bug (mplayer.sh was not executable by the squeezecenter user), and also by my Airport Extreme. As mentioned in another thread, this stuffs up port 554 unless you go into the Airport manual settings and tell it to allow Quicktime media server as a protocol. Hope that helps someone else! -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Andyr039, did you get anywhere with this? I am still stuck without the ability to listen to live radio streams. Alternatively, is there anyone else out there running Ubuntu 8 who /has/ managed to get AlienBBC working? -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

In my case, I'm running SqueezeCenter Version 7.2, and installed the AlienBBC version at http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/alienbbc-linux-v2.2b1-7.1_7.2.tar.gz . -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] rtsp error Ubuntu/Debian AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
Thanks for the tip; I've just tried alienbbc-linux-v2.01b1_7.1, and it does seem to be compatible with SC 7.2, but I'm still getting: [08-09-21 20:21:00.6809] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::getConvertCommand (300) Error: Didn't find any command matches for type: rtsppl format: mp3 [08-09-21 20:21:00.8983] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::getConvertCommand (300) Error: Didn't find any command matches for type: rtsppl format: mp3 In server.log -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] rtsp error Ubuntu/Debian AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
bpa: The problem only occurs with Listen Live; Listen Again works fine. Not sure about all stations, but certainly Radio 4, Radio 3, Radio 2 and Radio 1 all produce the same log errors. anselld: The RTSP options are enabled under File Types. They point to mplayer.sh -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] rtsp error Ubuntu/Debian AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
Ah, OK. This could be something different, then. The Radio Station Timeout was 20; I've notched it up to 40 and tested again, but the same errors are still appearing in server.log. -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52655 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] rtsp error Ubuntu/Debian AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
Hi there, I am also running Ubuntu 8/Squeezecenter 7.2 - is the RTSP error something like this: [08-09-18 21:47:26.9903] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::getConvertCommand (300) Error: Didn't find any command matches for type: rtsppl format: mp3 I only ask, as I can no longer listen to BBC live streams (Listen Again works fine) - this happened a week or so ago, and the upgrade to AlienBBC 2.02 has not cured it. I have tried chmod a+x for mplayer.sh, but this makes no difference. If this is the RTSP error people were referring to earlier, I shall have a deeper look at file permissions. Alternatively, if it's something else, it's head-scratching time... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Asterisk Plugin Still Alive???
Hi all, I've just had a quick go at making this plugin work with 6.5.1, and have made some progress. Indeed, apart from the fact that it's not really using the 6.5 handles, and the way that messages are truncated on playback, it seems to work. I think the truncation is caused by whatever prompted the original author to modify Source.pm; I'm not really up to speed on how SlimServer handles transcoding, so I now beg the advice of wiser heads... I've no experience of SlimServer plugin development or Perl, to speak of, so I'm stumbly blindly in the dark here :-) +---+ |Filename: Asterisk.pm.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3107| +---+ -- gbsallery gbsallery's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28748 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
