Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2012-05-01 Thread golfingrodders

When I try to enable the latest plugin it prompts for restarting my
server (WHS) and the 'wait for a few moments' comment appears OK but
then the 'available plugin 'reappears and my server doesn't hold the
upload. I have tried this several times with the same end result a
consequence of which I no longer currently have Spotify. Any ideas as to
why it should now (for the first time ever) not accept the latest plugin
and how can I recover the previous version?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-04-13 Thread golfingrodders

Today I was cut off from Spotify without warning due to a non payment of
subscription. The reason for the non payment I found out from my Bank
was due to the issue of a new credit card following the timeout of the
old one. Apparently unlike direct debits the issue of a new credit card
deletes any standing payments on the old! I had to renew my account with
Spotify in order to reinstate the use of premium Spotify (and of course
this plugin) I do think that Spotify should have given some warning
about such a situation before terminating the service, but there we
are...so be warned

Is there any other options for a PC-less Sqeezebox-Spotify-multiroom
experience?
(With two SB Receivers and one Touch)
I use a Ripnas server which feeds my transporter and 2 SB 3's. No need
for a PC to rip CD's as it uses its own internal software for ripping
and is fully compatible with the Triode Spotify plugin. I also use an
IPAD for operational purposes using IPENG HD

Since last night I have been unable to connect to Spotify. I get the
infamous There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Connect

providing any help other than for me to contact Logitech! I can access
my server for other items OK so why the sudden lockout from Spotify?
Any ideas? because at the moment I am paying for a non service

Just reinstalled version 1.2.1 and it seems that connection is now
re-established. Worrying why it happened in the first place though

I also have had re-buffering problems now spread over the past 3 or 4
weeks. These have mainly occurred with my squeezebox 3's but 2 days ago
for the first time with my transporter. Given the timescales I don't
think it relates only to the Christmas/New Year pressure on Spotify. I
am running 7.5.1 through a Ripnas server using Windows home server
operating system. When it happens Spotify is unuseable but I still have
useable access to my Flac ripped library. Any solution to this would be
much appreciated

I suppose it is not supposed to work when listening through the duet
controller? I have not managed to play anything from spotify through
the controller. Gives a error message 'player is not supported'...
something...

I have a duet controller linked to a SB3 and mine plays fine, as does
the SB3 remote and Ipeng through an IPAD

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-07-21 Thread golfingrodders

Following my comments on loss of connection I now wonder whether it is
my router that is to blame as I also lost general internet radio
connection at the time as well. Current stats from my SB3 are as
follows:-

Wireless connectivity 68%
Network test averages
64kps 4%
128 7
192 10
256 12
320 17
500 27
100052
150084
2000100

Are these results in the expected range or are they too low? My present
router is over 4 years old and if I replaced it with a new 'n' series
router would this provide a worthwhile increase in resilience?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-07-12 Thread golfingrodders

I am a newbie to this forum so please be patient. I have just loaded the
new plugin, upgraded to Spotify premium, and when I first accessed my
playlists using my duet all was fine. However once I exited Spotify I
have been unable to access anything with my duet since. I get the
following error messages:
There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Error reading
headers: Server closed connection without sending any data back at
/Net/HTTP/Methods.pm line 306. ...propagated at /Net/HTTP/NB.pm line
32. ) ..on my Mac running Spotify

and:connect timed out: bad file descriptor.. on my duet.

I am running the latest slimserver software with a Ripnas server for
ripped music
I am not particularly technical but it seems as though there is some
corruption caused by my initial closedown of Spotify

help will be much appreciated
