After the update Napster playback again does not work. However, I did not check the last weeks so maybe there is a different reason. I am using the nightly Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.1 - 1630708436 . Will 8.3 be better maybe? Some months ago, my Radios stopped being able to play Music from Napster (Rhapsody). It says the device is not compatible and I would need squeezebox 2 or higher. I suspect the latest firmware from april is the reason. Is there a way to go back? Or any possible change to the firmware to restore the playback for napster? Update does not work on LMS 8.2 on max2play and Raspi 3b. I am clicking install and restart forever, but it never installs. I have not succeed to login via terminal, so I cannot change any details. With iOS 14.5 Dev Beta 3 my iPhone does not see any squeezebox anymore. (Though it does not display fire tv etc as well, so might be a problem in iOS beta). Now i did apt-getupdate on maxplay playback is not possible anymore even on squeezebox boom. It says: Dateityp kann nicht... (data type cannot...) Only positive thing: since the update, the settings page for shairtunes2 is available again. Also on the new max2play stretch image AirPlay did not work at any time. I changed the cache and followed every instruction from PaulBC (as my library scans were not working good before) - while i was stopping the lms, the setup-assistant from http://mybooklive:9000 came up. I stopped the lms and purged everything and reinstalled everything again (and again). Then i switched the power of the wd off and on and waited for restart. Now Twonky runs (on port 8000), but http://mybooklive:9000 shows no logitech media server - even as there is a process in top called squeezeboxserver. Do i need to wait longer or how can i find out if there is anything wrong - sadly i did not really succeed in backing up my prefs and favorites. My daughter and son will not be happy to see their favorites lost. I read everything, but what exactly is the best installation guide? The one from the first post (this one did work before for me) or the one from peter? The last one did not work for me as i cannot run dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_7.7.1_all.deb while being logged in as user slimserver. Hm, now it worked with the instructions on the first post (for LMS 7.7.1). Before i did add the user slimserver and tried several other tweeks, no idea what made it run now. Now i have to pray that i never will have to install the lms again... Can i backup the installation or is there a fool proof installation guide somewhere? Hi i installed squeezeboxserver 7.6.1 successfully using the directions in the first post. After that i upgraded to logitech media server 7.0 and 7.1 halfway succesfully. It worked, but some artists and songs were listed twice and also i got an error message that there were two copies of logitech media server running. Now i did a complete reset of mybook live nas and installed lms 7.7.1 again. Result: the web frontend did not run.
