Does someone know when Logitech will update The Sirius plugin? We are still listening the old WMA stream. It seems Logitech are no longer interested to keep Squeezebox updated. I have an iMac Intel with Leopard 10.5.1. I installed the recent nightly build SC7 (December 28th) I downloaded Alien BBC and I installed Lame and mplayer both on /usr/local/bin. I see Alien BBC icon in the Radio Internet Menu in the SC7. Unfortunately, when I choose a live streaming it's starts but stops after 9 seconds. What I should do to resolve this problem? Did you follow the instructions about extracting the appropriate command mplayer from the mplayer installation ? Answer: Yes, it's the Intel mplayer. Once you chosse PreferencePanes you will see SqueezeCenter.prefpane. You must right click once on this file. You will see a menu. Choose show the content. Click on the file contents. After that, choose the server file. Go down and you will see the Plugins file. Drop the Sirius plugins inside this file. Be sure to stop the Squeezecenter on your preference system before. Restart you squeezecenter and it should works. You can set your sirius plugin preferences on the plugins menu in the squeezecenter web menu. Todd, First you must put the XM plugin in username/library/application support/squeezebox/plugins NOT plugin. Next, click on XM Radio file, You will see Install.xml. Do a right click with your mouse on this file. Click on "Open with" and choose TextEdit.app (If you not see in the option TextEdit, click "other" and choose TextEdit and click open). Change max version for :7.5.*. Close the file and the SB server and restart SB server. The XM plugin will work! Todd, Have you the 3.5.1 version? If so, I would try this. Stop the SB server. Take the XM folder in plugins file in your desktop. Restart the SB server. You should not see XM in the Squeezebox server menu under Internet Radio. Put once again the XM folder in the Plugins file. Stop the SB server and restart once again. I downloaded MPlayer (1.0 rc2) at the following URL: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html I dragged the MPlayer.app on my desktop. I deleted .app. A file appeared. Inside this file called MPlayer OSX I found another file named Contents. Inside this file I choose MacOS. Inside MacOS I found MPlayer OSX. I dragged this file in /usr/local/bin. I think I know what was the problem. I followed this advise: The MPlayer 1.0rc2 for OSX from the mplayerhq site seems to have a problem with RealAudio decoding and it loses one channel. If you have a Intel OSX 10.5 (maybe 10.4) systems then you could download, unzip and install mplayer from here [Triode's Mplayer for OSX] into /usr/local/bin. For XM: Low Bandwdith 32 kbps High Banwidth 64 kbps and it's free Sirius: High Bandwidth 128 kbps and it cost 2,99$ with a radio subscription or 12,99 per month for only an Internet account. In conclusion, you can't have unfortunately more than 64 kbps with XM. Andy, What you are saying is true considering that Logitech's agreement with Sirius was concluded prior to the merger. Logitech should now consider the fact that Sirius and XM have merged into one company and should make contact with Sirius/XM in order to develop an integrated plugin.
