It would be great if this were extended to support discontinued products
(as squeezebox) and open-source projects like WLED,
the most valuable effect would being able to use 'smart' devices with
alexa even after their manufacturer goes belly-up and takes their
servers with them.
(like Best buy's insignia products)

I mostly use my squeezeboxes as radio's and only use mysqueezebox.com,
wouldn't itbe possible to directly control the on/off, volume, channel
from alexa with this, bypassing LMS?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeDroid - Open Souce Android Remote

2009-10-06 Thread pacc

Hi,
Tried it out and really liked that synchronisation and volumes for all
players are easily accessible.

However, there does not seem to be any source checked in yet, I'd like
to have a look at it.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl

2009-09-24 Thread pacc

Thanks for a great plugin,
However it is odd that the most important features are not documented
but hidden in configuration pages or other peoples forums posts
useability should be more in focus for SB in general...

Press hold snooze button to get to svrpowercontrol menu.
Press right again when connecting to server to send WOL wakeup signal.
- This should be one of the first things told when describing this
plugin.

WOL must be enabled on linux, there is a thread in unix/linux about
this
at least I need 'ethtool -s eth0 wol g; echo NMAC /proc/acpi/wakeup'
in rc.local

best regards!
