Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze & SSH - idiot guide please
thanks Matthew - that's very helpful. Don't know whether this helps (or hinders) but I'm using openSSH on my home machine and was hoping to use the SSH support within softsqueeze 3. My problems are: 1. How can I test that openSSH is working correctly on the home machine? 2. What do I need to do to configure the SSH support on Softsqueeze. There's precious little detailed documentation. ... so near and yet so far!! -- thewallofsound thewallofsound's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39422 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze & SSH - idiot guide please
I am trying to set-up SSH so that I can access my slimserver across the Public Web from Softsqueeze without upsetting the firewall at work (as 3483 is currently barred - and its not very secure). I've followed the instructions about setting up the ssh from the Softsqueeze help info and they are helpful as far as they go but I could do with an idiot guide as to testing ssh and getting it set up on the Softsqueeze. Can anyone help or give me a pointer? -- thewallofsound thewallofsound's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39422 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze - saving options
Apologies if this is a newbie question but I'm struggling to find an answer. Running Softsqueeze 3.4 on Windows XP Pro. I want Softqueeze to access a different hostname than 127.0.0.1 - the default I assume. I change it in the options but 127.0.0.1 is back in there after I shut it down and restart. Is there an INI file or something where this is stored so that I can change it for good? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Soft Squeeze over the web
Someone told me that you could configure SoftSqueeze and Squeeze network using HTTP tunnelling (I don't really understand this bit) so that I can listen to my music via the web. I'm on the road a lot and would like to be able to listen to my favourite music without carrying it around with me. I know about Pandora but they haven't got around to the wierd stuff I like!! Has anyone successfully done this and does anyone have any idiot proof instructions about how to do this? (Oh and ideally its a more robust solution than AlienBBC) ... [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Alien BBC Success
Congratulations, Neil. Any chance you can confirm the various versions of things that you loaded (with links) and the RTSP settings? I'm struggling to get Alien going. As with everyone else, it works for Virgin and works via CMD but not via my squeezebox 3. -- thewallofsound thewallofsound's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19840 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
