Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Tidal App not appearing in My Apps, and won't play queued songs.

2020-12-28 Thread vdeknock

Hi, live close to NZ being in AUS and have exactly the same issue. I
just signed up to Tidal on a special and can't add it to the myAPPs
menu. If I go to App Gallery, Tidal is installed, uninstall and then
press install and then select go to Tidal it all works as expected. But
I can't get the Tidal into myApps so I can just play as I want, Am
running 8.1.0 on an iMac. I deleted the cache.db and that made no
difference.

agt have i missed something you changed?

thanks

You can modify the template in the Custom Clock App on your LMS unit.
The display on the unit has nothing to do with this app, this just
provides the information.

In Custom Clock, when you pick the one it will give you all the setting
used in that display - with a bit of effort you can work out. Ask the
same question in the Custom Clock posting for a more detailed response.

Hi Doug,

Got it working again last time I checked - a complete reboot of the
vortexbox fixed the issue with SDT and Music Information Screen (or
something like that). I have not looked since but have made zero
changes to the box since I got all working. Might leave my machine
alone for a few weeks, as not having SDT is worst as it is used on
three machines and tells me the weather each morning on my radio.

In SDT change your refresh time - you need to watch as SDT has server
settings and device settings. The setting you are looking for is under
the plugin menu on SBS for SDT - same place you enter your location.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Screen Switcher, switching screensaver for Controller/Touch/Radio

Feature request - with the OFF screen would it be possible to allow the
screen to be changed by the pressing/rotating of a button.

ie using the push feature of the volume button the screen that is
displayed could be cycled through a number of options. That way I can
keep my nice big time display but with a quick press of a button see
the weather or any other display.

I see this as a OFF feature only as this is the only time the buttons
are not assigned to a task.

I have been playing with the screensaver switcher plugin and the ability
to have different screens at different times.
The only one I have set is the off screen, I have a night time display
and daytime SDT weather dispaly.

Night time 10:40pm to 6:15am - the other one is active for the period
outside of this window. The morning change over is when the alarm
activates every weekday.

My issue I noticed last night for the first time as the unit was off
when the change over happened - the unit turned on and the home menu
was being displayed rather than the clock - I rolled over near 11pm and
did not see the time, I had to press the off button to get it back to
the off clock mode.
Anyone else noticed this? I dont see it in the morning as the alarm has
turned the radio on.

In other news I've written a new provider to go fetch info from
bom.gov.au. It's official weather and more regularly updated than
weather.com, and sometimes less weird than wunderground's results (it
also has better coverage than weather.com) Handily bom.gov.au provides
data 3 formats, so no HTML scraping (I've got a Squeezbox V3).

Is this the sort of thing that should be tidied up and placed into the

I haven't gone to the length of updating the UI at the moment. Happy to

Being in Australia I am very interested in have the weather from BOM,

changing to the classic allowed me to edit the setting if I selected

Outcome

Would be nice to get a simple notification that a new version is

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Superdatetime configuration problems

Have a look at this post - someone has posted their setup down a few
posts which is for a Boom. Will give you an idea of how it works

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53877highlight=superdatetime

The %C will just display that information. Maybe you are getting
incorrect information imported or the data is incorrect and it is
reading that as just AA - if you work out which field is
corrupt you can remove it or use the different weather service
available wunderground. If you look %E is temperature from weather.com
in degC and %E is temperature from wunderground in degC. Does not take
long to get the hand of the way it works and find the bad data. I
would turn off all the other data and just work on the weather to start
with. This is done under the server menu for the plugin not the player
configuration.

it appears I get four different periods /
night/morning/afternoon/evening (or something like that) I am seeing
different periods hence the different icons. I have determined this by
making the period display on both - pressing the arrow keys on the
remote forced them to display the same period.

Can someone explain how this is meant to work? I would like to show
the correct display for the current time - both have the same time.

Adding extra display settings for different periods - I can select
C,1,2,3 - what does the C mean?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: AlienBBC step by step guide for newbie

2006-03-21 Thread vdeknock

Tried to install ABBC plugin following the instructions and it did not
work - deleted the lot and used the beta 1.01 auto install for windows
and now works a treat. Would recommend that if you are having problems
getting this to run you try the auto install for windows.

I had to run the test.bat file this ensured that the firewall allowed
all connections to open. I would recommend that the install be
modified at the end to auto run the test.bat file.

Thanks for the great work
