[SlimDevices: Plugins] [ANNOUNCE] MC2Slim JRiver MediaCenter Integration V1.6

2008-07-18 Thread Craig

MC2Slim is a small program that runs alongside Media Center and allows
you to treat your Squeezeboxes as MC Zones and play your music as if
they were a soundcard on your PC.

The program needs to be installed and run on the same PC that you use
for MC but can connect to a remote Slimserver.

MC2Slim 1.6 is now also compatible with MediaJukeBox, the free version
of MediaCentre so now there's no excuse ;-)

New features in v1.6 include
Added support for Media Jukebox 12
Added detection of connection to HTML port
Added support for use with a Media Center Library Server client
Added detection of MC 'Playing Now' changes (including reordering)
Added support for Media Center Radio mode

More info and the download can be found at

Enjoy

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [ANNOUNCE] MC2Slim JRiver MediaCenter Integration V1.6

2011-08-13 Thread btully

I am running 64 bit Windows 7
I am using Squeezebox server v.7.6.0 and the MC2Slim panel, under port
number, shows "Connected to v7.6.0", so that looks good to me.
Player is detected, and is indicated to be "In Sync"
Clicking OK on that error, I get "No players were detected"
Then "Failed to create key.shn"
And I can't close either MC2Slim of J River (which goes into permanent
"buffering") other than by rebooting
After a minute MC2Slim shows that it has lost conatct with Media Center
12
Still must reboot
(I am running MC 16, not 12, by the way)
Is your app the best, or others for this I should consider?

2011-08-13 Thread MrC

You might considering using Whitebear Media Server instead. It will
present your SBs as zones inside of JRiver Media Center, and you can
use MC to target the SBs. It uses DLNA, so you enable MC's Media
Network (Tools > Options > Media Network > Use Media Network to share
this library and enable DLNA.)

I don't think Craig has updated MC2Slim in a while.

Yes that's what I was about to say, Whitebear has made MC2Slim pretty
much redundant so I'd go with that instead.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [ANNOUNCE] MC2Slim JRiver MediaCenter Integration V1.6

2011-09-07 Thread btully

I can play my downloaded Rhapsody files through "here" on my local
computer with no problem and using Whitebear I can play my non-Rhapsody
files through my Squeezebox, but the Rhapsody files dont play that way -
nothing comes out of Squeezebox and at J. River end file just starts to
roll and then stops after a few seconds. This appears to me to be a
digital rights issue, although I have the highest level of Rhapsody
subscription. Is there a way to send Rhapsody downloads out over
Whitebear?
