It must have something to do with problematic mp3tags concerning album covers. If the actual playlist is empty or set to a Radio Station or some songs that seem to be ok, then I can change to show album arts without problems. So I removed the songs that where active during the last tests from the library, enabled albumart caching and did a rescann. Now I lose connections during albumart cachning (this time at 1 from 212). Unfortunately, the scanner log stays cmpletely empty. The question now is how can I identify the problematic media files? I'm not able to look at the logs right now, i will this evening. But first think I would like to know if a music file is the problem. So, first I would create another music folder , put 100 music files in it, remove all current music folder entries, and do a complete rescan. A bit lost honestly said. The scan is made with disabled artwork-caching as this step never ends (always hangs at 1 from 522 or similar). Hi It is scanning now, will take some time. A I said in the first post, I dont have any pctures in the music library (at least I didnt find any). Therefore currupt albm covers must be within the audio file as mp3tag or something like that. Thanks for support. I currently have Xpenelogy installed on a HP microserver. It reports as a DS3612xs under the info panel, it has an AMD Turion II 1.5GHz 2-Core inside it but reports as an Intel i3. Would anyone know which of these repacks I should try out? It's not currently my main LMS so a failed install won't matter too much. Thanks for your effort. The 88 Version is way better as long as I hide artwork. The memory eating process perl isnt showing up now and in stead of over 70% memory used it shows now 43 %. But as soon as I switch te option to show artwork again the connections to the devices get lost immediatly and the web UI doesnt respond anymore. Also I had to disable artwork pre-caching, otherwise the library scan hangs during pre-caching, it never ends ( Initialy I had to poin LMS to an empty library, then change the pre-caching settings and finallly set the library back to my music). Honestly said this isnt a big issue for me, I can live without artworks. I disabled ALL plugins ( I had only a very few enabled before). No change. As soon as I enable show artworks the connections are gone and no web user interface available anymore. Should I enable more log options that could help you identifying the problem? I found several mistakes in the 88 build which could be causing the problem, lets hope so. 1 was directly linked to SqueezeCenter instead of LmsRepack. Hi pinkdot I tried yor package on my DS713+. It does work as long as I simply connect the Slimdevice2 and the Boom to listen some msic. But it crashes somehow when I open the web userinterface. Not immediately, but after a few seconds, both devices disconect, cannt reconnect and the web userinterface doesnt respond anymore. The package still shows running, as well as the process slimserver.pl I can stop the package and restart it and everything is back, until I try to open the web userinterface. Do you have an idea? I haven't sorted out what is needed for every architecture. So what' s wrong? I don't know, but it looks like some picks to remove redundant perl moduls are still needed for Synology some how. Hi pinkdot, all was done via DSM's package center (settings = package sources = add = name location). But the Installation worked only after i changed the trust level as described in my earlier post. After that everything works like a charm SBT works again the music is back again. :-) Add the DS213 to your list, too . LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.2-5565 doesn't play 24/96 flac files on SB classic and SB Receiver/Duet, suggesting downsampling is not working. No problem playing 24/96 flac files on SB Touch however. Hi pinkdot, thank you very much. I removed the offical lms (provided by synology) on my DS213j and installed your Repo. Worked very well. I just have one new problem: I can't play aac=m4a files. In the settings is aac=native and I can't choose anything else. In the offical synology lms I can play m4a files. Could you please help me? Kind regards Julian Okay, reinstalled everything and tested the File Type Settings from the old LMS Version (provided by Synology). Also deactivited every Plugin. I can play mp3 files, but no m4a. @pinkdot, any idea?
