Ah ok, thanks. That explains it. How long has this 'ID' requirement been around? I assume it's a change that Spotify has implemented (?) It's not really a requirement. But I believe the still increasing number of Spotty users, plus the increased traffic due to the library integration feature has caused the total number of requests done against Spotify's backend servers to cross the threshold where they started to rate limit us. They would sometimes refuse to respond to requests with a status 429, as they believe we're causing too much traffic. This is a totally reasonable approach you have to take to protect your infrastructure. But it's a pity they didn't get back to me with some conclusive response, as they've actually reached out to me asking about it. I entered my ID last night but it didn't seem to work. I've just had a little play again this morning and the problem hasn't happened yet :) Is there a delay with the ID thing? Yeah, I should try to address this: Spotty caches tokens for about an hour. So once you enter the client ID, it would still continue to use cached tokens, instead of trying to get a new one using the new client ID. I'm having a similar problem of playlists, Albums and Artists randomly showing "empty". Sometimes it can take 5 or 6 'tries' before they start showing, then it can do the same again at any time. Also, sometimes even Albums show as "empty", then OK again after a few tries. I've had this problem for a couple of months across a few Spotty versions. I'm currently on the latest version (4.4.5) and the same thing happens on three different server installs; one on my NAS, one on my PC, and one in piCorePlayer (All latest LMS v8). I have entered my 'Spotify Client ID'. Any thoughts appreciated. I am not particularly knowledgeable about my system and components, bought a house that already had Elan running with a Fusion Research OMS1 - I'm told by Fusion that LMS 7.7.6 is the last build that they support with my "legacy" OMS 1. I am having the same issue. This was not an issue yesterday- Spotify was working fine. Same symptoms for me- can see all lists, but when opened they show as empty. I just recently updated to LMS 8.0. May try uninstalling / reinstalling Spotty to see if that helps. [SlimDevices: Plugins] All playlist are empty in Spotty
I just noticed that all playlists was empty in Spotty. I then updated the Spotty to 4.4.2 but it didn't change anything. All lists are showing just nothing. Including my own and Spotify's ready made lists (for example "Discover Weekly"). What might be the issue and cause here? No indication of any problems can be found in log files.
