Yes, I actually even occasionally use it. It's in the player settings (the blue ">" details disclosure next to the player). Hi there, Just found this and wondering if it's maintained also. As I understand it, this plugin is different from playlist manager linked above and add different functionality. I am after a way to send playlists between players, ie start playing a playlist on one player then move to a different room and send the playlist there. It would also be great if this could be controlled by iPeng, pippin did you ever try to do this? Hiya, New to squeezeboxes so apologies if I've missed something but I can't get this to come up on the controller. I'm using a Readynas with SqueezeServer 7.0, installed the plugin into /usr/local/squeezecenter/Plugins as directed, restarted the service and it appears in the addins section and I can also see/use it from SoftSqueeze. The controller however won't show it in the extras menu. I've restarted the controller and forced an update but no joy. I think it is trying to do something as with the plugin enabled accessing the Extras menu makes it freeze for close on a minute before just showing the basic info browser and effects items. Any help greatly appreciated, this is a great idea for a plugin. Hi This might be a really stupid question, but how do I get this installed on a Squeezebox controller? I dont get presented with an Extra menu to activate it on the SC web interface and its not listed under Applet installer. I tried upgraded SC to 7.1 but after the firmware upgrade it made no difference. Found a two small bugs in your plugin: 1) If the other player is all ready on you can't see it in the SBC menu. And when you try to switch the other player on it turns it off instead. 2) If the other player is on and you want that to be syncronized with this player it gets syncronized, but when I want to turn the other player off it is turned off but not entirely. Excellent plugin! This suits my uses of my Duet/SB3 pair very well. I was getting mildly irritated by how often I found myself having to switch between players to do something, and then back again. The kitchen SBR usually gets killed by the microwave and if the living-room is sync'd it gets killed too. With the Other Players menu I can cancel the sync (without having to change player first); or I can just send/grab the playlist from the kitchen to the living-room. Also, I find it handy to be able to power-up/down a player without having to switch to it. (Aside: sometimes my SB3 gets into a strange state where it appears to be off (both on its display and on the SBC) and yet it's playing. Pressing the on button (on either remote) at this point can be risky; e.g. earlier today, Other Players showed the SB3's power as unchecked but sync was checked. When I checked the power box, it turned the SB3 off properly, which silenced it and cancelled its sync with the SBR. IIRC, the menu didn't update the sync status to off until I left it and returned. If I use the webiface or another remote to sync or unsync, would Other Players detect & reflect it immediately, or does it just check the status on entry?) It looks as though "sync with B" means "get B to play what I'm playing", which fits in with other SBC behaviour. Would it be possible to add a "sync from B" option as well (so that the current player starts singing to B's tune, as it were)? Other Players - An easy way to control the other players in your house and to transfer playlists between them. I have finally got around to updating my Other Players plugin. Sorry for the long delay! This update adds support for the Controller, with thanks to Radish, and also French translations, with thanks to Seb. For those who haven't seen it before, this is what Other Players does: This plugin provides a new menu on your player's display, called Other Players. It lets you select any of the other players that are connected to your SqueezeCenter server and provides ways of controlling them.
