[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce - Song info plugin for KCRW
This is a plugin for KCRW https://www.kcrw.com - covering stations KCRW, KCRW Electic 24 and KCRW News Depending on the station / programme, it presents track information (Artist, Title, Cover Art, Label, Year) or programme information (Title, Synopsis, Artwork). There are some programmes with "segments" e.g. "Good Food" that might change what is on during the show. Seems a bit hit and miss though. When KCRW broadcasts a programme called "Eclectic 24" overnight it is a simulcast of the "Eclectic 24" station so I try to grab the "Now Playing" from that other station at that time ... things could go wrong. I just wanted to say thanks for this plugin! KCRW is by far my most listened to radio station and my only criticism of the listening experience has been the poor metadata but now that is fixed with your plugin! I was curious how were you introduced to KCRW? Did you live in LA before? I worked for a few Santa Monica based companies over the years so was fairly frequently in the area for meetings. I often stayed in a hotel not far from the college and one of the first things I did on checking in was to retune the hotel radio to the local station - KCRW.
