You're trying to add a track to an iTunes playlist? I think that's your
problem.

Create a new "normal" playlist, and then try adding a track to *that*
playlist using Playlist Manager/SqueezeCommander. Does it work?

Works fine for me using Squeeze ctrl app.

The playlist manager seems to be working in conjunction with
Squeezecommander app now, however, I can't add a song to an existing
playlist. If I add a song I'm listening to into an existing playlist, it
just makes another playlist with the same name with only that one song
in it. So, I appear to only have the option mentioned above, loading the
entire playlist on the web interface and adding a song, and saving the
list again. Not very useful.

Is there some way to suppress the plugin update notification for this,
other than uninstalling the plugin? Are there actually updates, or does
LMS just think there are because it can't contact the site?

TBH: I'm not sure. I think we're hitting some bugs here. I have removed
Phil's plugins from the repository file for now. But I'm not even sure
whether this will help the update notification situation. I'll try to
look into this.

Two questions:

Is there some way to suppress the plugin update notification for this,
other than uninstalling the plugin? Are there actually updates, or does
LMS just think there are because it can't contact the site?

-and-

I don't actually see any way to uninstall the plugin from the web UI. Am
I missing something?

Right. According to Mnyb there is no web component to Phil's plugin.
Just wondering if that was the intention of that link.

In the web UI, would the "M" link be used for adding functionality like
this? Right now, what I see when I click "M" for a song is just the
standard songinfo page.

Depends on how he implemented his plugin. If he didn't hook in to the
trackinfo, then you wouldn't get that.

Thanks. I actually had this plugin installed until just recently, but I
uninstalled it due to the update notifications and because I never
really saw what it did. That explains why I never saw it. I don't use
the ip3k interface very much and I don't use the Controller/SqueezePlay
interface at all.

I have my SB Touch stored away in a box. Maybe I'll set it up to use
only as a controller and then use this plugin when it becomes available
again.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Is there a plugin to easily add a song to an existing playlist?

2015-09-22 Thread JJZolx

I'd like to be able to easily add the currently playing song (or even
better, any song) to an already existing playlist. For example, I'm
listening to an album, hear a song that I'd like to add to my "Best of
the 90s" playlist. Or to my "Dinner Music" playlist. I'd like to be able
to do this from the web interface, maybe also from my phone running one
of the Android apps.

Does such a thing exist?

Right now, it seems the only way to really do this from an LMS interface
is to load the named playlist into the current playlist, browse to the
song in the web UI, add it to the current playlist, then save the
playlist.
