[SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixlr plugin

2020-06-14 Thread mavit

I've created a plugin for 'Mixlr' (https://mixlr.com/).

INSTALLATION

Browse to Settings → Plugins → Additional Repositories, and
add https://mavit.gitlab.io/lms-mixlr/extensions.xml to the list.

A nightly version of Logitech Media Server 8.0 is required, 9th June
2020 or newer.

USAGE

This plugin is currently extremely basic.

- To play a broadcast from Mixlr, paste the URL of the Mixlr webpage
into Logitech Media Server’s Tune In URL field in the Radio section of
  the web interface.

That’s all it can do, so far.

Many thanks from me as well. The plugin works well & has completely
taken the pain out of trying to extract a playable URL.

Is it likely that it will be able to play on-demand shows sometime?
There is a big time-difference for me with the station I listen to, it
would be fantastic to listen to the programmes at a time that suits me.

This is what Mixlr calls showreels? They seem to be implemented in a
different and more complicated way from live streams. It's not
something I currently use myself, so I'm afraid I'm unlikely to get
around to making them work; it will probably need someone else to
contribute this feature.

Yeah, Mixlr calls them showreels. I've never had any success in finding
a URL for these that plays through LMS. Not to worry, I sometimes use
Stream What You Hear to listen to shows on my Radio. Thanks for your
work on this, maybe someone will come along & add to it.
