thanks for reporting out pomatomus! Can we actually control on/off in addition to coloration trough the network? These could be a very good addition to many applications I can think of... The phillips bulbs might not be adequate, but there are certainly other alternatives. using microcontroller computer software might do the trick to change RGB led string to follow beat, something in the lines of what they do with TV images http://learn.adafruit.com/adalight-diy-ambient-tv-lighting However, following beat might not be the target. The couple seconds delay might still be OK if all you want is the bulbs to change color every songs... [SlimDevices: Plugins] Philips Hue bulbs - plugin to sync them to music via LMS?
Just got a starter set of Philips Hue bulbs, and I'm wondering if anyone is giving thought to writing a plugin to make them work with squeezebox/lms. There's various android and ipod apps available (Philips own app, Ambify for light/music sync, probably more), as well as homebrewed windows clients (winHUE), so I reckon it's a solvable problem.
