I'll confirm the last post. I as/was setting up squeezeplay software on a couple of PC's about the house and ran into this Napster (sirius also) error message on playback is the order of the day. I came here seeking a solution but so far only confirmation of others that have the same problem and so far no solution. I'm guessing that it won't let you use software players to protect the streamed music from copying - it won't play to :9000/stream.mp3 either. I have found how to update the firmware (hold brightness button) but I still get an error when playing Napster files on the squeezebox 2. I have just got somewhere, it seems that Napster works fine on the Boom but the problem occurs when the Squeezebox2 I also have is on too and Synchronised with the Boom. Could it be a firmware problem with the SB2? How do I update the firmware? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems with Napster
I have tried the 30 day free trial of Napster and am getting the error problem: unable to play file type LONGFILENAME.wma I was using squeezebox 7.4.1 but have just updated to 7.5 beta and I'm getting the same results. I am using a Boom with a squeezebox controller and/or ipeng on my ipod touch.
