On a small phone screen the issues you point out are offset by the convenience, but I agree on a tablet - where space isn't such a premium - it does become inefficient. I too would like to see one of the existing Android controllers cater better for tablets (or a new one that's designed for tablets). +1 for Orange Squeeze. Squeezecommander is good, but is not an active project at the moment. Orange Squeeze is quite active. The developer even has a preview version which he uses to release changes very quickly...some of them experimental. Can't say I'm impressed with it :( 1) Moving down lists (eg: of artist or albums). The scroll bar on the right is fiddly. Sometimes it loses the fact you're still in the option. Just A-Z letters down the side would be easier, more reliable and more intuitive. 2) When presented with a list of songs. Why not have a couple of buttons - One to play now, and another to add to playlist, and a third to offer all other options. ie: Why do I have click on the track to then have another set of options. Why can't I just add it to the playlist via a single click? ie: Imagine trying to add 5 tracks to the play list. With a dedicated button (+) shown alongside each track, click-click-click-click-click, each done. But currently you have to duck in out of 5 sub menus. 3) Album art not appearing in lists (eg: search lists). Does in currently playing list though? Tried the free logitech one and a couple of things became obvious as problems to me:- 1) It really didn't use the 10 screen to best effect. 2) Moving around your music and playlist is a little painful. 3) You couldn't even re-organise the order of your playlist. With so much screen space I'd ideally like a playlist on the right, and the browser on the left. And you can just drag tracks across from the browser into your playlist. And indeed even drag the songs in your playlist into different orders... Anyonre care to recommend me an android app that will make good use of 10 of screen, and give a good friendly interface? There's none that as yet take full advantage of tablets. Orange squeeze would probably be my recommendation and the author does have tablet improvements on the cards for the future.
