Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty - "Spotify credentials missing" every day

2021-02-19 Thread Nojelc

Pleased to say that I have managed to solve this problem by updating to
Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 - 1613284924

I still have no idea what the problem was. Every night, overnight,
Spotty would stop working and LMS would need a restart. Since the
upgrade it has been working for 5 days solid.

Also all my attempts to extract the log file from
"/var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log (100, 500, 1000 lines, everything,
ZIP archive)" failed with a file of 0kb.

Now all those links in Settings/Information are working correctly too.

Where are your preferences & cache stored? Are these folders writable?

Sorry, I have no idea about that. It is where ever Max2Play stores them.
What could I do about it if I knew the answer?

See Settings/Information to see where it is. m2p wouldn't wipe caches
automatically or similar, would it?

Michael I have sent you the log file, I did this by copying the "Debug
Info" from the Max2Play interface. I hope this is what you want.
Actually this morning my whole Max2Play/Pi set up was frozen/crashed, so
I had to do a hard reset. Then just now after sending you the first log
file I tried Spotty, expecting it to be working after the restart, but
got my normal morning error message, so I restarted SB server and it is
now working ok. The log file has a few more entries on so sending you a
second one.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty - "Spotify credentials missing" every day

2021-02-10 Thread Nojelc

Every day for the last 2 weeks Spotty fails with a "Spotify
credentials missing" message

The first time it happened I created another Client ID, restarted LMS
and it was working again . until the next day. I changed back to the
old ID, restarted LMS and it was working again.

Then I found that I just need to restart LMS leaving the Client ID the
same, and it works again . until the next day.

I am not aware of any changes to my system which caused this to start
happening. It happens overnight when the system is not in use.

I am running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.3 - 1591161343 and
Spotty 4.4.7 on Max2Play.

Perhaps the following may help?
