The Filetypes RTSP to MP3 using mplayer/lame. After the RTSP->Flac and RTSP-> WAv options. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Accord to the ssods FAQ ( http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods_faq#toc15 ) mplayer with the fixed point arithmetic patch is the default. Have you also disabled the MP3 options ? -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] mplayer options on Qnap TS209
Thanks so much..I have disabled the flac options as you suggested and there is a definite improvementhowever looking in Qlogr the CPU does seem to be pegged at 99.8% so if there is something I still need to do I would be very grateful for any advice. Mplayer version would be the default one installed with SSOTS Thx:) -- richie12a richie12a's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20784 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] mplayer options on Qnap TS209
If AlienBBC is working (albeit stuttering) then there is nothing to do with stdout. Stuttering with mplayer is generally either due to 1. CPU overload due to RealAUdio decoder and possible re-encode into Flac/MP3. TO see if this is the problem - find out the CPU utilisation. 2. Network overload if RealAudio is decoded into WAV but your network is not capable of carrying a WAV stream. To see oif this the problem do a network test to get max throughput at 100% sustained for at least 10 mins. 3. Possible memory overload - again check memory utilisation to see your system is thrashing. Problem 2 may occur after you apply fixes to cure problem 1. Things to check. * mplayer is tuned for your processor - make sure your mplayer is built with fixed point patch if your NAS processor does not have a FPU. * Under WebUI Settings/Advanced/FileTypes - make sure RTSP->Flac and RTSP->MP3 are both disabled. This make sure only RTSP->WAV is used but this may cause network overload. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] mplayer options on Qnap TS209
I am having stuttering issues with Alienbbc on my TS209 II Pro. I have the swapfile on a usb key and playing all non-alienbbc radio works fine. I believe there is an option to adjust mplayer to stdout(?) but I have no idea how to implement this. Could some kind soul point me in the right directionor some other direction if I am not right in thinking that is the source of my issue! I searched this forum for instruction but couldn't seem to find anything relevant.
