Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
I have v0.144.2 and checked the Signature file which has the necessary comma. However, I am not getting any sound on Youtube despite they show as playing. My logfile shows the following error [22-11-18 02:41:53.6616] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (425) Request failed with error: Bad dispatch! Thanks for the help! I also noticed the update to 0.144.2 came available today. Prior to making the local edit or updating the plugin i decided to test if the problem was still there. To my suprise the audio started playing (same videos that didnt work few days ago). Don't know how this is possible but happy anyway things work again. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
I have recently enabled YouTube in my LMS environment - this is greatly appreciated as another source of music. not at the same streaming quality as Tidal or Deezer, but a nice complement. I am able to search in YouTube and play items. And I see my subscriptions and am able to play items from the channels. Both are greatly appreciated! However, I am not able to see all of my playlists. I see only two of my four playlists. Any advice on how to chase this down? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Hi Philippe et. al... I've been using this plugin for a long time now, and I'm happy it's there. I can't find what the latest version of the plugin is; mine reports v0.144.1, but how do I find out what the very latest available version is? Also, when I play back from a YouTube playlist, often a video plays back (as audio), but stops after about 10 or 20 seconds of playback and goes to the next item in the playlist. Do you know why that might be happening? - Tim Integra Integrated Stereo Amp / Home Built Intel-based HTPC (running LMS) w/BluRay Player / Panasonic Viera TV Squeezebox Duet (Receiver in living room attached to stereo amp, Controller in bedroom). Squeezebox Boom in Storage (gift from Slim Devices after they came to my home to debug a networking issue). Sorry if the answer to this posted elsewhere, but after several days trying I've not found it and I suspect the solution is simple. (I'm no programmer.) Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Hi Philippe, I recently upgraded my Pi3 1Gb LMS system to a Pi4 8Gb with external SSD and had to reconfigure my YouTube plugin. I worked my way around the project creation and OAuth configuration screens fairly well and authorised the plugin to access LMS. The YouTube plugin is working fine - I can access my YouTube playlists etc and see the artwork thumbnails in the overview screen. You can see the artwork when within a particular playlist and both individual tracks and playlists play. However, when a playlist is selected to play, the playing track in the screen only displays the generic YouTube icon and not the individual track's artwork. The log is also showing some errors (below the images) but I can't see where I can correct the problem. If you or anyone is able to offer any insights I'd much appreciate it. Many thanks. 37101 Log - "https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?key=AIzaSyCVjJF37f0W6sMOPjpfdN8dP-BJg_K2qSY&id=28761G6UKf0%2CtetvnQqkxGA%2CGYQWGomAbns%2C9f7UyUDHFaA%2CpzX4rIdODwM%2CRR8Bh4alfRI%2CNvryolGa19A%2CLrP73SfV-eM%2CuAcALH67-2A%2C9kZJI43p_gs%2CBOUpNtk5Spk%2CAmv_2A4__Bc&maxResults=50&order=date&part=snippet%2CcontentDetails®ionCode=EN_GB";, "400 Bad Request", undef, undef, undef, undef, undef, undef, ], "Slim::Networking::SimpleAsyncHTTP"); $a->[3]{DEBUG} = $a->[3]{ALL}; $a->[3]{FATAL} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; $a->[3]{INFO} = $a->[3]{ALL}; $a->[3]{OFF} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; $a->[3]{TRACE} = $a->[3]{ALL}; $a->[3]{WARN} = $a->[3]{ALL}; ($a, "400 Bad Request"); } at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm line 169. Found the solution for anyone in same issue, the instructions for the developer screens is out of date and I've never really used that google developer area... all i had to do was goto https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/ whilst logged into with me developer account, and enable the api from there, apparently just creating credentials as per the instructions does not work unless I do :) * harrys wrote: > Hi, none of the searches or any options work, just give an "empty" > measage, getting this error in my logs... > > any ideas please? > > youtube plugin version is: (v0.143.0) > > also tried to refresh my oath credentials but clicking on "get code" > or "refresh" does nothing with nothing in logs > > server details > > Version: 8.2.0 - 1627922070 @ Tue Aug 3 11:37:35 CEST 2021 > Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8 > Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux > Perl Version: 5.28.1 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi > Audio::Scan: 1.02 > IO::Socket::SSL: 2.060 > Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0) > > Thanks > > Harry > > ** > > Refresh (50, 100, 500, 1000 lines) Download > > INFO => 'fix', > OFF=> 'fix', > TRACE => 'fix', > WARN => 'fix', > additivity => 1, > appender_names => [], > category => "network.asynchttp", > is_ALL => 0, > is_DEBUG => 0, > is_ERROR => 1, > is_FATAL => 1, > is_INFO=> 0, > is_OFF => 1, > is_TRACE => 0, > is_WARN=> 0, > layout => undef, > level => 40_000, > num_appenders => 0, > }, "Slim::Utils::Log"), > "GET", > > "https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?key=AIzaSyDtCdywz62ovnUzqtEiEkGDF5GSkMsOj_w&maxResults=50&order=relevance&part=snippet&q=level1chat®ionCode=GB&relevanceLanguage=EN&type=video";, > "400 Bad Request", > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > ], "Slim::Networking::SimpleAsyncHTTP"); > $a->[3]{DEBUG} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{FATAL} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; > $a->[3]{INFO} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{OFF} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; > $a->[3]{TRACE} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{WARN} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > ($a, "400 Bad Request"); > } at > /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm > line 169. > [22-01-10 11:30:06.7783] Plugins::YouTube::API::__ANON__ (170) 400 Bad > Request > [22-01-10 11:30:06.7785] Plugins::YouTube::API::__ANON__ (81) no > results > [22-01-10 11:30:06.7815] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (130) > Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Networking::Async::_async_read: > Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at > /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm > line 97. > ; fh=Slim::Networking::Async::Socket::HTTPS=GLOB(0x55eff91e1cc0) > [22-01-10 11:30:17.6195] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1341) Warning: > [11:30:17.6193] do { > my $a = bless([ > sub { "???" }, > sub { "???" }, > { timeout => 15 }, > bless({ > ALL=> sub { "???" }, > DEBUG => 'fix', > ERROR => sub { "???" }, > FATAL => 'fix', > INFO => 'fix', > OFF=> 'fix', > TRACE => 'fix', > WARN => 'fix', > additivity => 1, > appender_names => [], > category => "network.asynchttp", > is_ALL => 0, > is_DEBUG => 0, > is_ERROR => 1, > is_FATAL => 1, > is_INFO=> 0, > is_OFF => 1, > is_TRACE => 0, > is_WARN=> 0, > layout => undef, > level => 40_000, > num_appenders => 0, > }, "Slim::Utils::Log"), > "GET", > > "https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?key=AIzaSyDtCdywz62ovnUzqtEiEkGDF5GSkMsOj_w&maxResults=50&order=relevance&part=snippet&q=test®ionCode=GB&relevanceLanguage=EN&type=video";, > "400 Bad Request", > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > undef, > ], "Slim::Networking::SimpleAsyncHTTP"); > $a->[3]{DEBUG} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{FATAL} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; > $a->[3]{INFO} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{OFF} = $a->[3]{ERROR}; > $a->[3]{TRACE} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > $a->[3]{WARN} = $a->[3]{ALL}; > ($a, "400 Bad Request"); > } at > /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm > line 169. > [22-01-10 11:30:17.6197] Plugins::YouTube::API::__ANON__ (170) 400 Bad > Request > [22-01-10 11:30:17.6199] Plugins::YouTube::API::__ANON__ (81) no > results > [22-01-10 11:30:17.6209] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (130) > Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Networking::Async::_async_read: > Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at > /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm > line 97. > ; fh=Slim::Networking::Async::Socket::HTTPS=GLOB(0x55eff90fe730) > [22-01-10 11:32:27.2117] Slim::Plugin::CLI::Plugin::cli_process (615) > Error: Connections require authentication, check login command. > [22-01-10 11:32:27.2120] Slim::Plugin::CLI

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Hello, I am new to this forum. A few weeks ago I installed "picore player" on a "pi3". It gave a new lease of life to my radio squeezebox. I tried to install the youtube plugin today. Everything is installing very well, the code generation and account authorization is going very well. On the other hand, when I launch the plugin my playlist, my subcription and everything else remains hopelessly empty . What did I do wrong? I had to click the button and update the site if I correctly remember. Anyway, it is stated in the steps what to do. It might be, that clicking on the "get code" link does nothing and for this there is a hint of what to do. Where I failed is later in the stage, when trying to link to my personal youtube account so I can play my favorites. Linking the general API key to play any video from youtube in general should work fine. bvrulez's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67251 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105840 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I just tried to set this up and failed, for I think similar reasons to the above. I sorted the API and initial credentials/secret, all input into the plugin ok. It appears that the next step is to click the "get code" box, but this does nothing. Looking at the log file, it shows that a URL was unauthorized, but I don't know what the URL is. The server is a pi, and I'm accessing the settings from a Ubuntu PC that is logged into the relevant Google account. Do I need to log into the Google account from the pi to sort this? As an aside, it would be great if this worked with multiple YouTube accounts, so the kids could each access their own accounts on their own Squeezeboxes. I wanted to setup Youtube API today and it was not working. I got this error in the log with some JSON following: Code: [21-08-09 16:15:20.3710] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (130) Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Networking::Async::_async_read: Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/API.pm line 97. ; fh=Slim::Networking::Async::Socket::HTTPS=GLOB(0x81a3770) [21-08-09 16:16:42.8351] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1341) Warning: [16:16:42.8346] do { I then manually opened up the URL it was trying to connect to in a browser and got a response saying I have to activate the key, which was possible and it now works. THIS STEP OF EXTRA ACTIVATION SEEMS TO BE MISSING IN THE DESCRIPTION FOR SETTING UP AN API KEY IN THE LMS GUI WHEN NO KEY IS YET APPLIED. Also, I think the OAuth-process might be a bit different now. Maybe we have to setup a test user. It's not working yet for me, altough I got the 8 digit code and authorized it and got a "successfull". I had to chose a platform for my app and used "Desktop". bvrulez's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67251 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105840 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Well I've been going round the houses with this. But in case it helps anyone else to generate their OAuth client ID correctly (so they can use their person YouTube account) I found I had to select 'Desktop App' as the application type when I created it. I tried a few others before settling on 'Desktop App' and none of them worked for me (the Client ID and Client Secret did not generate a code in the plugin settings page). YouTube plugin vs: 0.140.1 Server vs: 8.1.1 Take care of your tongue. It is in a wet place and can easily slip. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
My YouTube plugin returns nothing at all. Every search/listing or whatever produces a blank. Checked my credentials, keys etc. All fine. Re-entered them just in case. No joy So I uninstalled the plugin and deleted my preferences. Reinstalled, added back details. No joy I deleted my Google OAuth Project and remade it, recreating the new credentials. No joy. Still the same. Now all I'm left with is I'm doing something really, really stupid. Anyone any idea what it might be? My 8.1.1 server is on a dedicated 64bit Windows 10 machine. Everything else works as it should BTW. The instructions for creating a new key and client ID are out of date. Thanks Take care of your tongue. It is in a wet place and can easily slip.
