It's an indication of a problem with the network, but if you only get that error then it's probably just an intermittent glitch in the connection. Thanks for the information; I wasn't aware you could strip down the player window like that. I am using the chrome extension but find it rather buggy; having to restart it repeatedly get annoying after a while.
