H, something is odd. The interface is not obvious at first for all this, but it sounds like you are doing it right. Not sure what's missing on your end. I just created a bunch of new ones yesterday. Only thing I can think of is that the files themselves are stored in some way where the DP can't access (permissions, on a NAS with incorrect pointers). Don't really know... -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89559 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I guess I'm not understanding the issue. I create lots of different playlists this way, mostly genre based, and I end up with lots of different (distinct) dynamic playlists saved in the dynamic playlists section under the random/ category. You are CREATING these dynamic playlists within SQL playlists under extras right? Then saving with unique names. Then you PLAY them by selecting under my music/dynamic playlists. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89559 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There should be a checkbox 'Only never played songs' in the configuration dialog for the playlist I meant, don't know if you are in the same dialog. ;) BTW, the 'SQL Playlist' plugin shows up in the 'Extra' menu. -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89559 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] DynamicPlaylist: questions re browsing and saving
I think you can achieve what you want with the SQL Playlist plugin. Just create a new 'Advanced' playlist, the offered options should give you what you want. A newly created playlist shows up under 'Dynamic Playlists'. Ah, erlands plugins give you a lot of functionality, but you also have to learn how to use them. ;) I am currently trying to find out how you can make a playlist that chooses random albums from a specific library (Multilibrary plugin, the sub-library is defined by a custom tag). -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89559 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
