There is a way to show Album Artist and until I installed v7 this morning my system was doing it. But can I remember how I did it in v6? Can I 'eckaslike! thanks. To make use of the information from the custom scan plugin this requires erland's other excellent plugins (and some time to configure these) - would be much nicer with SC core support...okay will stop here, as i'm drifting in the same direction as the running thread Tagging Classical Music :-) regards, Markus (tagging my classical tracks with all sort of informations) -- schiegl schiegl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6654 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43583 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicInfoScr Help
You should use the technical name of the tag not their description (you could use MP3tag-Extended Tags(?) to get these names). AFAIK you could at least try these ones: - ARTIST - COMPOSER - CONDUCTOR - BAND - ALBUMARTIST - TRACKARTIST Don't think you can use PERFORMER (didn't work for me) - otherwise Michael could correct me (again ;-) regards, Markus -- schiegl schiegl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6654 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43583 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Do you mean Server Settings / Formatting? I added Album Artist and Performer in the Formatting menu, then added it to one of the display lines in the Music Info Screen, but all that displays on the transporter screen is Album Artist I must be doing something wrong. Thanks Michael - things are looking much better! I don't suppose this next question is specific to MusicInfoScr but is there any way of getting other tag fields into the display? For example, in my vast collection of classical music, I'd like to be able to display the performer or album artist fields. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicInfoScr Help
Hi Jonathan, I don't think you can have different sizes on the left and right display. It's always the same on both displays. Concerning the way how to configure the displays. I have separated this in two steps, 1. define the Display Format - if there's not the one available you'd like 2. assign the format to the different positions on the display, using the MusicInfoSRC (click on the position, i.e top left, top middle, top right, bottom left, bottom middle, bottom right, and assign the format, i.e artist, album,... I've attached a screenshot from my settings page for better illustration. ...ups: while re-reading your questions, as i'm running version 7 you'd have to translate the screenshot to your version 6.5 - it looks different and doesn't have all those features, but basically the way doing it is the same. Or you could upgrade to version 7 ;-) kind regards, Markus +---+ |Filename: MusicInfoSrc2.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4320| +---+ -- schiegl schiegl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6654 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43583 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Thanks Markus. Have you ever had the feeling like you're just not getting the whole picture? 'Cause that's what I'm getting right now. I've never seen that setup screen you have (I am running v6.5 not 7) I've been using the slimserver webpage on my browser to control things - what is the SqueezeCenter thing you show?
