Check basics first. What is IP address and net mask of PC running Softsqueeze ? What is IP address and net mask of server ? bpa more info The Media Server is seen by all computers on the home network The firewall is turned off on the XP computer which has softsqueeze loaded on it In Softsqueeze under preferences the IP address "192.168.1.16" is entered. Softsqueeze doesn't knwo the IP address of the server. Firewall is probably blocking the broadcast packets or XP system and server are on different network segments.
