Since early summer I have been using Triode IPlayer plug in 1.3.1 Alpha3
and BPA Iplayer extras. Since September although I could use the
IPlayer plug in to listen live it would not play historic programs
although it would display the image and the message ‘no items in
playlist’. I can listen to historic programmes via IPlayer extras. I
use both a Touch and Squeezebox radio with Media Server running on an
old Netgear NAS. Has anyone any ideas??

I am new to the forum sop if I have out this in the wrong place please
bear with me

See post #1 here. remove the old googlecode bpa and old triode
repositories. Remove the old iplayer and iplaye extra. restart LMS.
Then put the new bpa respository from post #1 in LMS and add the BBC
iplayer and iplayer extra plugins and install.

Here is an update suggestion: I am a huge bpa and triode fan and am
very grateful for their work in bringing the new HLS streams back
online. I am in the US but I am using Smart DNS which should result in
the higher bitrates for BBC 3's on demand programs. To test it out, I
tried the BBC 3 on demand program Essential Classics for Monday
8/24/2015. BPA's iPlayer Extras plugin (v1.8) resulted in the 320 kbps
version while Triode's iPlayer plugin (v1.3.1alpha3) resulted the 128
kbps version. There is a difference in the URL each is using, and that
probably is what is causing the different result.

Thanks

I'm still using these repositories:

http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml

http://bpaplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo-short.xml

Auto plugin update enabled.

Should I use Triode's final repository for this, or stick with this
one (currently running 1.3.1 alpha 3) ?

bpa - should I do anything regarding your plugin ?

since those original fixes, the plugins have occasionally updated
themselves (automatically at the repositories). So nothing needs to be
done unless you see a message that there are plugin update

IIRC Triode's BBCiPlayer plugin from the offical repository has not been
kept up to date and so will not inform automatically.

So unless Triode updates his repositories, I suggest keep watching the
BBCiPlayer plugin thread if the plugin stops playing.

aha. Thanks for clarification. I guess there was one or two updates to
Triode's BBCiplayer that early on in the BBC fiasco that showed up for
me automatically (thus my earlier response). I'm not sure if this is
because I have this in my extra repository list:

Triode put his alpha version up on the testrepo repository which users
have to set up manually.
