Yep, running the stable. Want to evaluate it first before we are going to
use it in a large production environment. If you like, i can provide you

Re: [policyd-users] rejection troubleshooting ?

2008-06-10 Thread Jacco van Koll
Best,

This is caused mostly by M$ mailservers. M$ is known not to follow RFC's
properly, and therefor it creates a 550 messgage whenever it receives a 450
message. Sender is faulty, not receiver. Also, RFC's state that sending
party is responsible for proper delivery. Not the receiving side.

Hope this helps.

If you run policyd in debug mode and enable debug of the policy
resolution , I think this is documented in the configuration file. You
should then see which policy numbers are resolved from the
sendingIP,sender,recipient triplet ;)

This would mean the amavis integration module is not picking up the data
for the email passing through it.

If some mails are being allowed through postfix without hitting policyd,
this would cause the errors. In which case I must maybe rethink the
messages slightly.

If every single mail is hitting policyd before it hits amavis, then its
more than likely a problem. In which case I need you to provide me with
the version of amavis you're using.

Found the issue. And there is another one popping up. I forgot to enable
the following in postfix:

#smtpd_end_of_data_restrictions=

But, after enable this, some messages will not go out, giving me a 'try

You are facing another problem with the amavisd-policyd.pm than i have.
I am still looking for a solution, so i cannot help you further on this.
Also, on my system the module starts complaining about that it cannot
find the database part in cbp:

Apr 18 02:43:36 gandalf amavis[5446]: (05446-01) (!)custom new err:

It looks like that perl cannot find/read the cbp modules? Maybe this
should be seen as a bug?

Re: [policyd-users] Not getting the webui to work

2008-04-16 Thread Jacco van Koll

Hello Nigel,

Running: Debian Unstable

Apache2 2.2.8-3
PHP5 5.2.5-3
MySQL 5.0.51a-3

But, as stated in a later message, found the issue. The webui was
located on a symlinked directory...

I can get the postfix stuff working, but the other database, not

Content of config.php:

I do also get: Fatal error: Call to a member function fetchObject()
on a non-object in /srv/www/cluebringer/postfix-transports-main.php on
line 79

And, yes, using mysql by hand, using these credentials, i can see,
modify and read from the databases.

And, yes, i used also the regular config :-) This is after
modifications.

And, yes, passwords are fake :-)

Can you describe your system? apache ver? mysql ver? php ver?

Jon,

Yep, its there, but, probably it's just a bug, because the server runs
on unstable debian.

Therefor, i recalled my posting. Got it working now! GREAT STUFF!

Gents, Ladies,

Found the issue! The config cannot handle linked directories.. So, make
sure you do not put the webui into a linked base-dir.
