No, it's deer hunting season, here in the midwest USA. ;-)

But it did build, and install perfectly cleanly (i386). And it runs
smoothly, as well.

You'd think they'd have upgraded it to "Elk Esplanade" or a similar name,
since it evolved from a release candidate to a release.

This version still prominently calls itself "Deer Park" (window
title, about, help). Is that a hiccup because ours isn't an
"official" build? An upstream oversight? A new brand dilution
scheme?

NEW: audacity-1.2.4

wxWidgets conflicts

2005-11-30 Thread Antoine Jacoutot

Hi...

wxWidgets-gtk2-2.4.2 pkg/MESSAGE states that :

OpenBSD supports installing multiple GUI libraries side-by-side, so you
must either call the script directly (eg wxgtk-2.4-config), or set an
environment variable WXCONFIG before calling wx-config.

But having wxWidgets-gtk-2.4.2p0 installed, I issued the following
command:
# pkg_add
http://ftp.belnet.be/packages/openbsd/snapshots/packages/powerpc/wxWidgets-gtk2-2.4.2.tgz
Can't install wxWidgets-gtk2-2.4.2 because of conflicts
(wxWidgets-gtk-2.4.2p0)
/usr/sbin/pkg_add:
http://ftp.belnet.be/packages/openbsd/snapshots/packages/powerpc/wxWidgets-gtk2-2.4.2.tgz:Fatal
error

Isn't it possible to have the gtk and gtk2 version installed, or did I
misunderstand ?
Thanks.

Antoine

You don't have to look. It's the default runelocale, in libc/locale.

If you want it to be ASCII, just so be it.

However, I'd rather not touch it. I think that just writing an alias that
says 646 is ASCII in charset.alias will fix everything for now.

There are some actual API incompatibilities.

"646" as a designation is a bit weird. This should really be
"ISO-646" aka "ASCII". I guess I should take a look how glib arrives
