aircrack is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that
can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured.

It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations

other WEP cracking tools. In fact, aircrack is a set of tools for
auditing wireless networks.

From Benoit Lecocq.

Note: aireplay-ng can cause kernel panics (as reported by David
Coppa), so this isn't yet connected to the build. But having it in
the tree may get some more people testing driver patches.

The problem is that aircrack-ng is now injecting raw control frames
through bpf.
Most of our drivers aren't prepared to send control frames.
Many aren't even capable of sending control frames (because hardware
and/or firmware does not permit it.)
The correct fix would be to deal with control frames properly in the
Tx path if the hardware is capable of sending such frames or to
drop them. The proposed patch that consists in removing the check
in ieee80211_get_hdrlen() is not a good solution (even though it may
work for ral(4)). I'm still trying to figure out how to handle this
properly. This is not easy because we have many drivers for very
different hardware.

i think this should go in now (as i've already mentioned in the

 issues with the drivers.

has this been commited already? are the issues fixed? apologies
if this has been mentioned already, still catching with my

I'll do some ports-wise checks and some loose tests and commit it

useful :-) would you be interested in adding some kind of license
(we like /usr/share/misc/license.template, but it's your choice)?
then it could go into ports/packages.

Can't find where, but there is some usefull flags for ./bjam,
like sNO_BZIP2=1, sNO_ZLIB=1, and sBZIP2_INCLUDE=/usr/local/include.
There is another strange for me thing.
on console from ${WRKSRC}:
#./bjam -sNO_BZIP=1 -sNO_ZLIB=1
works
but in Makefile:
BJAM_CONFIG=  -sNO_BZIP2=1 -sNO_ZLIB=1
...
do-build:
 @cd ${WRKSRC}  ./bjam ${BJAM_CONFIG}
...
#make do-build
get errors like (in this case) warning: NO_BZIP2 should be either '0' or
'1'
this mean BJAM_CONFIG not used properly. BJAM_CONFIG with more then one
option, does not work.

Try make link to net with WEP or without authentication at all.
When i setup bwi(4) there was two issues for me: dhcp ip leasing and
 wep authentication.
Can't tell in details, just don't remember, but you can digg in this
 direction.

 2009/5/6 José Brandão ze.bran...@gmail.com

 Hello,

This is my first post, so forgive me if I inadvertently commit a
 gaffe.

I am looking for advice regarding the setting-up of my wireless network
 card with wpa.

I have installed the current release OpenBSD 4.5 on my asus A6 laptop.
So far as I can tell, everything works perfectly except for the
Intel pro/wireless 2200BG wireless nic (driver iwi, device iwi0) that
 I have been unable
 to put to work.

As per man page instructions, I have installed into /etc/firmware the
 files from iwi-firmware-3.0p0.tgz.

I have created the /etc/hostname.iwi0 file with contents:

dhcp NONE NONE NONE nwid my_essid wpa \
wpapsk $(wpa-psk my_essid my_passphrase)

At boot-time, when comes the time to initialize the network, the following
 message is printed:

iwi0: no link . sleeping

I have also tried to activate the card with the instruction:

ifconfig iwi0 -bssid chan 6 nwid WirelessFromTVCabo\
-nwkey txpower 20 wpa wpaakms psk wpagroupcipher ccmp\
wpaprotos wpa2 wpapsk $(wpa-psk my_essid my_passphrase)
dhclient iwi0

 with the same results.

The previous commands closely reproduce the setup on a debian
 installed on another partition.

 The output of dmesg is:

Well, i could import but not yet connect it to security/Makefile.
It may help to get more people testing possible driver patches.

 Any opiniions?

useful :-) would you be interested in adding some kind of license
(we like /usr/share/misc/license.template, but it's your choice)?
then it could go into ports/packages.

No problem, I'd love to add this license.

First, to configure boost there is bootstrap.sh, which one compile bjam
  utility needed to compile boost.
Some files in boost out-of-tar has no permissions for execution, so chmod
 is
  only way to build bjam.
Don't know.. may be overwrite extract in Makefile and use combination
  (umask,tar -p)?

 either chmod in pre-configure, or if it's only bootstrap.sh that's a
problem, do something like this in pre-configure or do-configure:

       cd ${WRKDIR}; ${SH} bootstrap.sh

yes, i solve this  by adding chmod in port-configure.

Second, just weird situation, boost can't find bzlib.h while compiling. I
have one of course in /usr/local/include.

it probably needs some -I${LOCALBASE}/include somewhere.

 BJAM_CONFIG=  -sNO_BZIP2=1 -sNO_ZLIB=1
 ...
 do-build:
             @cd ${WRKSRC}  ./bjam ${BJAM_CONFIG}
 ...
 #make do-build
get errors like (in this case) warning: NO_BZIP2 should be either '0' or
 '1'
this mean BJAM_CONFIG not used properly. BJAM_CONFIG with more then one
 option, does not work.

Remove the quotes. Otherwise it gets treated as one argument by the
shell since the variable contains the quotes.
